DarkUFO Character Cup: R1, Matchups 27 & 28
Update: 07:20 GMT Just woken up and the other winner yesterday was Sarah over coming Ji-Yeon by just 3 votes!! 1285 to 1282 which from the brackets prediction is another upset. I've updated the brackets to reflect the votes and there are now just 51 people left in with a chance for that elusive perfect bracket (DarkUFO)
Sarah: 50% (1285) (selected on 43.4% of all brackets)
Ji-Yeon: 50% (1282) (selected on 56.6% of all brackets)
----------
Congratulations to Charlie Pace for making it to the next round! He dominated his match against the one and only Doctor Arzt. Ji-Yeon Kwon and Sarah Shephard pulled out the ultimate nailbiter and finished their bout with a 50-50 result showing on the polls. But there was a winner, and their name is... I don't know! For some strange quirky reason I am unable to see the final vote totals for any of our matchups when I log onto the poll website. DarkUFO, however, is capable of seeing these numbers when he logs in. I don't know why that is, but that's the case.
So, we are stuck waiting until DarkUFO wakes up in the morning to tell us the other half of yesterday's polls. Once he tells us the outcome, I'll post the updated numbers for Sarah and Ji-Yeon. I guess you have to wait just a little bit longer.
Charlie: 90% (selected on 98.5% of all brackets)
Arzt: 10% (selected on 1.4% of all brackets)
Well, I guess it won't be much comfort to some of you that today's matchups feature another reasonably close battle for the right to make it to Round 2. So on top of waiting for the results, several of our bracketeers may have even more worrying to do.
Matchup #1 features a matchup between a crew member of Flight 815 and one half of one of Lost's greatest romances. The second matchup throws an intriguing Other against an original Lostie who was kidnapped by the Others. Wait patiently for the results of yesterday, cast your votes for today's battles and voice your opinions in the comments section!
Cindy Chandler
A flight attendant for Oceanic Flight 815, Cindy survived the crash with other passengers from the tail section. Cindy followed Ana-Lucia’s orders until shortly after Michael, Sawyer and Jin washed ashore. While trekking back to the Lostie camp, Cindy was kidnapped by the Others. She later appeared on Hydra Island with the children taken from the tail section to watch Juliet’s trial. She was last seen briefly interacting with Locke at a temporary camp and at night at the ruins when Ben challenged Locke to kill his father.
Penelope “Penny” Widmore
Daughter of the wealthy and powerful businessman Charles Widmore, Penny is also Desmond Hume’s girlfriend. She first met him at a monastery and their relationship grew from there. While Desmond was practicing for a race around the world, Penny tracked him down. When he disappeared during the race, Penny used her money and resources to try and search for him, despite hearing nothing of his whereabouts for three years. When the Hatch imploded, Penny’s people tracked the magnetic signal. She was further assisted by Charlie communicating with her from the Looking Glass and Desmond’s phone call from the freighter. She was last seen helping the Oceanic 6 with their alibi story, setting them off in a lifeboat.
Mikhail Bakunin
A former soldier for the Soviet Union, Mikhail’s past and coming to the Island is a bit sketchy. He may have been recruited by the Others post-Purge. Either way, Mikhail was stationed in the Flame, where he was responsible for monitoring communications and could access information from the outside world via computers. He gathered information on every one aboard Flight 815 and provided Juliet with a glimpse of her sister and nephew. Mikhail was discovered at the Flame and taken prisoner by Sayid and Locke. He survived passing through the sonic fence, but finally died when he detonated a grenade in order to kill Charlie in the Looking Glass.
Walter “Walt” Lloyd
The son of Michael Dawson and Susan Lloyd, Walt is a survivor of Oceanic Flight 815. He grew up with his mother but was handed over to his dad when she died suddenly. Michael and Walt knew each other barely a week before the crash. Walt helped his dad build the raft, but was kidnapped by the Others at sea. Michael rescued his son and they were allowed to leave the Island. Walt has appeared several times on the Island in mysterious manners and he has been described by several people as being special. Walt was last seen talking to Hurley in Santa Rosa.
Sarah: 50% (1285) (selected on 43.4% of all brackets)

James Gandolfini And Girlfriend Deborah Lin Get Married
James Gandolfini is a busy man these days. In addition to nine television and movie projects in various stages of production, the "Sopranos" star found time to get married this weekend.
James Gandolfini married his girlfriend Deborah Lin on Saturday in Lin's hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii.
The couple has been an item since January 2007, and confirmed their engagement to reporters in January. It is the second marriage for Gandolfini, who divorced his wife Marcy in 2002. Gandolfini's son from the previous relationship, Michael, reportedly served as best man on Saturday.
But Gandolfini may have to cut his honeymoon short, as he is currently filming the Jake Scott drama "Welcome To The Riley", about a troubled young woman who unites a grieving couple who have drifted apart after the death of their daughter.
The actor will also be seen next month in Spike Lee's war thriller "Miracle At St. Anna", the story of four black American soldiers who get trapped in a Tuscan village during WWII.

LOST Syndication on SciFi, G4 and CW!!
*UPDATED* Thanks to Thedemonhog for the link for LOST Syndication in Canada on Space Channel.
Hey Losties,
As some of you may know, LOST will begin its first run in syndication starting in the next two weeks. LOST begins airing on the SciFi Channel on Sept. 15th in 4 hour blocks every Monday night and earlier today I actually saw the first promo on TV, so I recorded it with my cell phone. Naturally the quality is poor because it is a recorded version and as soon as a HQ version becomes available we will post it for you.
The show will also air on the G4 network (Sept. 15th) and it seems like even on some local CW networks. Here is a screencap of the CW network's affiliate in Cleveland, OH advertising "LOST Again", which starts on Sept. 13th.
So for all of you looking to get your LOST fixes, make sure you check your local listings for these networks because LOST is back on TV before the premiere in January!!
Additionally for those of you in Canada LOST starts even sooner!! It will begin airing Monday-Thursday on Sept. 8th on the Space Channel. Here is the link with details: LOST to Air on the Space Channel

DarkUFO Character Cup: R1, Matchups 25 & 26
Congratulations to Locke and Boone! The master and his apprentice are moving on to Round 2, which is less than a week away! The matchups are sure to be closer and we'll really see things begin to heat up.
Boone: 94% (selected on 91.7% of all brackets)
Emily: 6% (selected on 8.2% of all brackets)
Locke: 88% (selected on 98.7% of all brackets)
Marvin: 12% (selected on 1.2% of all brackets)
The brackets have been updated and there are now 93 bracketeers holding strong in first place. We might be able to shrink that number a bit with today's matchup though. We've got another toss-up that many of our bracketeers have been worried about.
Matchup #1 today pits two deceased Losties against each other. One was mostly a redshirt, while the other was a main character for a while. While both of their deaths are the stuff of Lost legend, only one will be exiting the Cup today. Matchup #2 sees a possibly nail-biter between the woman who broke Jack's heart and the miracle baby.
Who's going to win this time? Vote away!
Dr. Leslie Arzt
Before the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, Dr. Arzt was a ninth grade science teacher. Making the best of his situation, he spent his time on the Island collecting insects, many of which were undiscovered species. Distrustful of Jack and the A-Team Losties, Arzt came to resent being left on the back burner. When he heard Jack needed to retrieve dynamite from a mysterious location, Arzt used his knowledge of science to bully his way onto the expedition. While lecturing Jack, Kate, Hurley and Locke on safe handling of dynamite, the stick he was holding exploded, killing him instantly.
Charlie Pace
Former bassist of the one-hit-wonder rock band Drive Shaft, Charlie survived the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. A junkie at the time, he soon found the inner strength to kick his heroin addiction with the help of John Locke. Charlie developed on on-again-off-again relationship with Claire and was very protective of her infant son Aaron. After the destruction of the Hatch, Desmond told Charlie that he was destined to die on the Island. Charlie died while on a mission to deactivate equipment jamming communication with an off-shore freighter. Mikhail flooded a chamber of the underwater Looking Glass station with Charlie inside.
Sarah Shephard
Jack’s ex-wife first came into his life as a patient. Sarah was in a car accident that left her spine crushed. Her fiancĂ© left her because he thought she would never walk again. Jack foolishly told Sarah he would fix her, despite staggering odds being stacked against him. Miraculously, Sarah was healed and the two began dating. After only a short time being married, Sarah began cheating on Jack because she felt neglected by his devotion to his work. After Jack returned from the Island with the Oceanic 6, Sarah was called to the hospital to check on Jack as his emergency contact. After an awkward reunion, she left, possibly forever.
Ji-Yeon Kwon
The daughter of Sun and Jin, Ji-Yeon was miraculously conceived on the Island, despite Jin’s impotence. While in the womb, Ji-Yeon posed a threat to her mother’s life and to her own, as babies conceived on the Island die before reaching full term and causing their mother’s to die from complications as well. Fortunately for both of them, Sun escaped the Island as a member of the Oceanic 6. Sun returned to Korea, where Ji-Yeon was born. Ji-Yeon was last heard over the phone before her mother made a business proposition to Charles Widmore in London.

Jennifer Aniston Filming Guest Appearance On "30 Rock"
"Friends" star, and John Mayer ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston is returning to her roots at NBC. Aniston is currently filming a guest appearance on the hit comedy "30 Rock", starring Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan and Tina Fey.
Little is known about the role Aniston will play, and the plot has been kept top secret. But a leaked video from TMZ shows Aniston and show star Jane Krakowski working together in an outdoor shoot - but little can be gained about the plot.
"30 Rock", a New York based television series, created by Saturday Night Life alumni Tina Fey, will start its third season in October. Fey admits her creation was influenced by her days on SNL.
Alec Baldwin and Fey star in the series about a behind-the-scenes look at Liz Lemon (Tina Fey), the new head writer of the sketch comedy show "TGS with Tracy Jordan", and how she must deal with an arrogant new boss (Alec Baldwin) and a crazy new celebrity star (Tracy Morgan), all while trying to run a successful television show without losing her mind.
"30 Rock" has won a loyal following of viewers, and critics seem to love the show's concept. The series has won a Golden Globe Award, Peabody and last year's Emmy Award for outstanding comedy series.
Jennifer Aniston will also be seen this December starring next to Owen Wilson in the comedy "Marley & Me", where a family learns important life lessons from their adorable, but naughty and neurotic dog, The film is based on the memoir by John Grogan.
In February 2009, Aniston will be seen starring with Jennifer Connelly, Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, Ben Affleck, and Justin Long in the comedy "He's Just Not That Into You", a Baltimore-set movie of interconnecting story lines that deals with the challenges of reading or misreading human behavior.

Killer Of Ashton Kutcher's Ex-Girlfriend Ashley Ellerin Nabbed
An air-conditioning technician is being held by Santa Monica police in connection with the murder of three women, one of them being the ex-girlfriend of celebrity Ashton Kutcher.
DNA evidence was used to connect Michael Gargiulo, 32, of Santa Monica, with the stabbing deaths. Gargiulo has been in custody since July on unrelated charges and could face new murder charges as early as next week.
Santa Monica police reported that DNA collected from a crime scene earlier this year link Gargiulo to the knife assault deaths of women from Los Angeles, Chicago and Monterey Park. One of the victims was 22-year-old Ashley Ellerin, Ashton Kutcher's ex-girlfriend, who was found dead in February 2001 in her home in the Hollywood Hills.
Ashton Kutcher, who starred in the recent comedy "What Happens In Vegas" with Cameron Diaz, and is married to celebrity Demi Moore, told police he went to pick up Ashley Ellerin for a Grammy party, but she did not come to the door. Kutcher looked in a rear window and saw what he believed were red wine stains on the floor and left. Friends found Ellerin's dead body the next day.
Gargiulo was being held pending a $1.1 million bail on charges of attempted murder and burglary charges from the April 28 death of a Santa Monica woman in her home.
Gargiulo's attorney, Anthony Salerno, said his client was not involved in any of the murders and "thinks the police are out to get him." He said Mr. Gargiulo has pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder and burglary charges and is scheduled for a hearing on September 4.
Ashton Kutcher can be seen later this year opposite Michelle Pfeiffer and Kathy Bates in the film "Personal Effects", about what happens to a couple after the loss of family members, while they try to cope with their destinies.

Selena Gomez Stars In "Another Cinderella Story" - Review And Movie Trailer
Poor Selena Gomez. One minute she is accused of a nasty, bitter feud with Miley Cyrus, and the next minute she tells the world the two young pop stars are best friends forever.
Her wholesome image has been tarnished with leaked internet photos, and she is accused of being positioned as the next Hanna Montana. That's a lot of pressure for a young actress and singer.
But now Gomez has the opportunity to show audiences that she can carry a full-length feature film in the romantic musical comedy "Another Cinderella Story", an original musical dance comedy based on the Cinderella fable and directed by Damon Santostefano.
As you can imagine, the story is a familiar one, but with a twist. An ultra modern setting for "Another Cinderella Story" finds Selena Gomez in the modern teen world of cell phones and pop music. Instead of loosing her slipper at the ball, she looses her Zune music player, her mother goes "clubbing" with Paris Hilton, and pop music and dance routines showcase the actress and the movie's characters.
It is the story of young love, and how far one will go to fit in.
Plot: A young man (Andrew Seeley) who dances with what could be the girl of his dreams (Selena Gomez) at a costume ball, only has one hint at her identity: the Zune she left behind as she rushed home in order to make her curfew. And with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in front of him, he sets out to find his masked beauty.
Kids will love this movie - adults, not so much. It lacks the glitz of "Ironman" or "Indiana Jones", and is clearly a vehicle to show off the young talents of Selena Gomez. The film is a mindless romantic comedy, with a lot of singing and dancing, and a harmless way to spend an afternoon.

Selena Gomez can currently be seen starring as Alex Russo on the family comedy television series "Wizards Of Waverly Place", a story that centers on a family in New York City that owns a restaurant where, behind the scenes, the kids can do real magic.
Gomez has also appeared in three episodes of "Hanna Montana", voiced the character of Helga in "Horton Hears A Who" starring Jim Carrey, and will appear as herself in the "Jonas Brothers: Living The Dream" concert series documentary.
The next big television project for Gomez is the family comedy "Princess Protection Program", due in January and starring Demi Lovato. The film focuses on a tiny country that is invaded by a dictator, and the young Princess (Demi Lovato) who is taken into custody by the Princess Protection Program.

"Disaster Movie" Will Make You Laugh - Review And Movie Trailer
When the world is threatened… When our lives are at risk… Who can save us?
You can tell summer is drawing to a close when films like "Disaster Movie" start showing up in theaters. The big Spring epics are behind us, and movie studios are preparing for the Thanksgiving through Christmas release of the next wave of blockbusters.
In the meantime, we have to wade through the jungle of high school comedies that will be with us for another two months.
"Disaster Movie" is one of those flicks you will either love or hate, a throwback to the "Airplane" and "Scary Move" style of comedy. The plot is simple: Over the course of one evening, an unsuspecting group of twenty-somethings find themselves bombarded by a series of natural disasters and catastrophic events.
And the scenes are full of parody, sometimes razor sharp, with impersonated cameos from Hollywood's biggest celebrities, in a setting that says what you and I would like to say, but just can't muster the nerve.
It's all here in "Disaster Movie". You don't even have to try - it just comes at you over and over, with jokes and celebrity ribbing that will have you laughing just thinking about what went on during the filming of this movie.
There are appearances from Iron Man, Hanna Montana, Amy Winehouse, The Incredible Hulk, Will Smith as Hancock and a funny "Juno" meets "The Zohan" scene that is hilarious.
This is a movie for those people who have seen way too many movies this summer, and know way too much about them. You won't recognize any of the real actors, but you will recognize the actors they are spoofing.
Justin Timberlake, Hellboy, Kung Fu Panda, Enchanted, Desperate Housewives, Sex And The City, Indiana Jones - they're all here. You will recognize every joke, every jab and every impersonation.
"Disaster Movie" is the perfect way to say good-bye to summer and get ready for round two of the epic blockbuster movies hiding just around the corner.

DarkUFO Character Cup: R1, Matchups 23 & 24
Posting a little early tonight... Congratulations to Frank and Eko! Both really laid the hurt on their opponents with devastating margins of victory. They move onto the next round to face new foes.
Frank: 90% (selected on 96.7% of all brackets)
Gault: 10% (selected on 3.2% of all brackets)
Eko: 90% (selected on 97.7% of all brackets)
Goodwin: 10% (selected on 2.2% of all brackets)
The brackets have been updated, so don't forget to see where you stand. There are now 94 bracketeers tied for first place. Will that number hold for another day? We'll find out soon enough!
Today's matchups feature and Island A-Lister and three characters that have haunted him in one way or another. The first bout pits Lost's first main character to die against a less-than-stellar mother. The second matchup sees our Man of Faith going against the face of DHARMA.
Vote, comment and enjoy!
Boone Carlyle
A survivor of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, Boone’s mother owned a successful wedding planning company. She married Adam Rutherford when Boone was a boy, making Shannon his stepsister. On the Island, Boone spent most of his time with Locke. Together they discovered the Hatch and the drug smuggler’s plane. Locke sent Boone up to investigate the plane. Boone tried to use the radio to contact someone but the plane fell out of the tree it was lodged in and crushed Boone. He would later die from his injuries despite Jack’s efforts to save him.
Emily Annabeth Locke
One time lover of Anthony Cooper and the mother of John Locke, Emily has had a tragic life. As a teenager she rebelled against her mother’s wishes and dated a much older Anthony Cooper. She got pregnant and after an argument with her mother, she accidentally got hit by a car. Her son John was born months premature. Cooper abandoned her and she abandoned her child. She spent time in mental institutions and later was used by Cooper as a pawn to receive a kidney from John. Emily hasn’t been seen since.
John Locke
After surviving the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, Locke was miraculously able to walk again after being paralyzed for four years. Raised in foster care, Locke went from being an angry and determined teenager to being a meek and mild middle-aged loser. Always dreaming of being something he was not, Locke found his chance to be a hunter and a man of faith once reaching the Island. He encountered the Smoke Monster, manned the Swan hatch before losing faith. He was able to confront his jerk of a father on the Island, having Sawyer kill him. He joined the Others before the Island disappeared but was last seen dead in the future.
Marvin Candle
The mysterious man from the DHARMA videos, Marvin has gone by several different aliases. In the Pearl video he goes by Mark Wickmund and in the Orchid video he assumes the name Edgar Hallowax. Nothing is known about who he really is and what other purposes he may have served in the DHARMA Initiative. Since we have not seen him on the Island, it is assumed that he was killed during the Purge.

MAN LOVE
Its okay Michelle. I've known for a while. They really love each other. Look at Barack staring in Joes eyes like they love each other. Who knew first black candidate and first gay wow two birds with one stone right. Ha I guess this is the change he was speaking of awesome "MAN LOVE" and I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free.
Small Penis
Holmgren asks Hasselback to give him a rough estimate of his penis size. Wow that's a small penis Matt, get a pump or something. I hope he knows the old pick a side and wear it out method. I guess it was always suspected of him but he has no shame in this picture it's actually quite lovely to see a man with very little shame. Go Matt Go!!!
DarkUFO Character Cup: R1, Matchups 21 & 22
And we have an upset! Ethan Rom's victory over Aaron Littleton is the first blow to a majority of bracketeers. Congratulations to Matthew Abaddon as well, as he cleaned Charlotte's clock.
Ethan: 51% (selected on 43.3% of all brackets)
Aaron: 49% (selected on 56.6% of all brackets)
Abaddon: 63% (selected on 70.5% of all brackets)
Charlotte: 37% (selected on 29.4% of all brackets)
After this 24 hour period of anticipation and anguish, only 95 people emerge from the day tied for first place and holding their perfect brackets high above their heads. The brackets have been updated, so go see where you stand.
Now we move on to the next set of matches. Our first bout features two of the freighter folk and our second sees an Other taking on one tough Tailie. Will the next 24 hours be as tense and close as the last? Maybe not, but your votes are just as important as ever.
Frank Lapidus
A former pilot for Oceanic Airlines and a member of the freighter crew, Frank has a very unique connection to the Losties. Frank was supposed to pilot Flight 815 from Sidney to Los Angeles but was replaced for some unknown reason. When news about the “discovery” of 815 made headlines, Frank was able to tell immediately that the wreckage was fake. He was hired by Matthew Abaddon as a helicopter pilot aboard the freighter. He was part of a failed extraction mission designed to bring Benjamin Linus back to the freighter. Frank was last seen aboard Penny Widmore’s boat a week after the Island disappeared.
Captain Gault
Hired by Charles Widmore to captain the freighter Kahana deep into the middle of the South Pacific Ocean, Captain Gault had to be stern with his crew. As the venture dragged on and one with no results to speak of, his crew became restless. When the freighter was sabotaged, things escalated. He watched his crew grow mysteriously sick and commit suicide. After learning Keamy’s objectives to torch the Island, Gault decided to help Sayid and Desmond escape the freighter. Gault was shot and killed by Keamy the night Keamy and his team of mercenaries switched to their secondary protocol.
Goodwin Stanhope
A member of the Others, Goodwin was sent by to infiltrate the Tail section survivors’ camp. As it would turn out, Ben deliberately sent Goodwin because he was having an affair with Juliet Burke, whom Ben was affectionate for. Goodwin had previously worked in the Tempest station, where he dealt with dangerous chemicals each day. It took a few days for Ana-Lucia to realize that Goodwin was the imposter in their group. Upon confronting him about it, she attacked him. During the fight, Goodwin was impaled with a stick and died on the hillside.
Eko “Mr. Eko” Tunde
A survivor from the Tail section of Oceanic Flight 815, Mr. Eko rew up in Nigeria. Taken away at a young age by local criminals, Eko grew up to be a powerful warlord but pretended to be a priest when his brother was killed. After the crash of 815, Eko collected the dead bodies and buried them. He took a 40 day vow of silence and grew two tufts on his beard as penance for killing two Others who attacked the camp. After joining the Losties, Eko tried to take over for Locke at the hatch but failed. Eko was confronted and killed by the Smoke Monster after refusing to repent for his life’s sins.

David Duchovny Admitted To Rehab For Addiction To Sex
Wow, here is one you don't hear everyday in Hollywood.
We're all familiar with the constant stream of celebrities entering rehab for alcohol, drugs, and who knows what, but "X Files" star David Duchovny has checked himself in for an addiction to sex. Really?
The story was first reported by People Magazine on their website.
In a prepared statement released Thursday by his lawyer, Stanton Stein, Duchovny said he entered the rehabilitation center on his own, saying:
Duchovny, 48, currently portrays the sex-obsessed character Hank Moody in the Showtime series "Californication", whose second season starts September 28. This must truly be a situation of life imitating art, or a huge publicity stunt.
Duchovny recently appeared in the film "The X Files: I Want to Believe" in July, starring alongside Gillian Anderson. He has been married to actress Tea Leoni since 1997, and the couple has two children, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd who is 6.
Duchovny does have an untitled television project in the works for later this year starring with A.J. Holyfield, where he plays a faculty member at a junior high school with an over-achieving student who turns his school's A.V. Club into a hard-hitting news show.
We knew things could get strange in Hollywood, and suspect there may be more to this story then we know at this point. We'll keep you in the loop as we learn more.

DarkUFO Character Cup: R1, Matchups 19 & 20
Congratulations to Tom and Desmond. Ironically, both Ana-Lucia and Libby are snuffed out at the same time once again. At least it's not Michael's fault this time.
Tom: 70% (selected in 87.5% of all brackets)
Ana-Lucia: 30% (selected in 12.4% of all brackets)
Desmond: 92% (selected in 98.6% of all brackets)
Libby: 8% (selected in 1.3% of all brackets)
The brackets page has been updated. There are still 268 people tied for first place in the brackets, but that number might change very soon.
Since the poll server left many of you pining for a matchup, we're going to run with this sense of agonizing anticipation and give you two matchups that several of you have said you are concerned about. Up first we have the original baby napper versus the baby that he napped. Our second matchup is between a mysterious supporting character and the equally mysterious new main character he hired.
Who will win these battles of uncertainty? You'll just have to stick it out for 24 hours to get the answer. Vote, comment and enjoy!
Aaron Littleton
The son of Claire Littleton, Aaron survived the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 while still in his mother’s womb. He was the reason that Claire was abducted by Ethan and the Others, but their pursuit of him ended when she escaped their custody. On the Island, Aaron has been looked after by several Losties. After his mother’s disappearance, he fell into Kate’s care and escaped the Island with her as part of the Oceanic 6. He is currently being raised as Kate’s son and was last seen in Kate’s house when she and Jack broke up.
Ethan Rom
A member of the Others, Ethan has been involved with their recruiting efforts. In 2001 he and Richard Alpert actively pursued Juliet Burke from Oregon and succeeded in recruiting her and bringing her to the Island. Ethan was also a trained surgeon and apparently knew a thing or two about pre-natal care. He was ordered by Ben to infiltrate the Lostie camp and pose as a survivor, but he was found out. In a panic, he kidnapped Claire and took her to the Staff station. When Claire escaped, Ethan tried to bring her back but was killed by Charlie.
Matthew Abaddon
A very mysterious man, Abaddon’s earliest appearance was shortly after Locke’s paralysis. He gave John a pep talk and encouraged him to go on a walkabout. Abaddon later appeared hiring Naomi, Daniel, Charlotte, Frank and Miles for a mission while on board the freighter. He was finally seen posing as an Oceanic Airlines representative when he visited Hurley in Santa Rosa. He asked Hurley if “they” were still alive, referring to the Island. Hurley grew immediately suspicious and Abaddon disappeared. He has not been seen since.
Charlotte Lewis
A member of the freighter crew, Charlotte was hired for unknown reasons, though it may have something to do with her background as a cultural anthropologist. Before coming to the Island, she found a polar bear skeleton with a DHARMA collar in the middle of the Tunisian desert, which made her very happy. She was part of the failed extraction mission to bring Ben back to the freighter. She has acted mysterious and chippy with several of the Losties, but has joined them anyway. She also seems to believe that she was born on the Island. She was last seen at the Lostie beach camp before the Island disappeared.

Mackenzie Phillips Busted At LAX For Heroin And Cocaine
Remember Mackenzie Phillips? She played Julie Cooper Horvath on the long running '70s sitcom "One Day At A Time".
Phillips left the show several times, but finally left for good in 1981. The producers wrote her character out by saying she was leaving to train for her new job. But Phillips really left the series because of a well-documented drug abuse problems.
Now, Mackenzie has been arrested for heroin and cocaine after she was found carrying the drugs at Los Angeles International Airport LAX. Police said the actress was arrested Wednesday.
Mackenzie, 48, was traveling to New York when she failed a security screening, and an ensuing search revealed a small amount of cocaine and heroin.
Mackenzie Phillips is the daughter of John Phillips, from the musical group the "Mamas and the Papas", and has battled drug addiction for years.
She returned to television in 1999 starring in the Disney Channel series "So Weird", about a young girl who travels around the country continually stumbling over supernatural occurrences, and without anyone to believe her, she posts what she finds on her website entitled "So Weird".
The actress has also appeared in the movies "American Graffiti" portraying Carol, and the sci-fi thriller "The Jacket" playing a nurse.
Phillips has also appeared in guest roles on various TV shows including "Cold Case", "7th Heaven", "NYPD Blue", "Without a Trace", "The Division", "ER", "Walker, Texas Ranger", "Caroline in the City", "Melrose Place" and "Beverly Hills, 90210"
Phillips has no current television or movie projects underway at this time.

Will Zac Efron Return For "High School Musical 4" After All?
The legions of fans who follow Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron have been in mourning for the last six months, as Zac and co-stars Vanessa Anne Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale have repeated over and over that "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" will the last adventure for the current cast of the successful Disney franchise.
But the rumor mill has gone into overdrive as word has leaked from Life and Style Weekly that Zac may actually play a role in the next sequel "High School Musical 4".
According to the popular tabloid magazine, Zac Efron may return as Troy Bolton in the next sequel of the movie sensation that made him famous.
Efron has been telling interviewers for months that HSM 3 would be his last, but celebrity gossip spies report that if there is a place for his character, and the price is right, he may make another appearance in HSM 4.
So is Efron sending up a trial balloon in hopes that Disney snaps up his offer?
There have been concerns that after the current class graduates there may be little interest in forthcoming "High School Musical" movies, as viewers may not connect with the new incoming class.
But if Efron were able to still be part of the process, say as a graduate assistant or being hired as a teacher or drama coach for a year before he heads of to college, a story could be developed with Zac as a mentor for the new students. It would be a more adult role for the actor who may find breaking out of the teen idol mold difficult.
You never really know how things roll in Hollywood, but if Disney is scared that "High School Musical" may fade into history, what better way to try and stave off the decline then by keeping a hit star and key player around to draw in the current fans.
We suspect we have not heard the last of this rumor, and will keep you informed as to what we hear down the road.

Minkowski: 14% (1.5% in the brackets)

Tom (aka “Mr. Friendly”)
One of Ben’s go-to men, Tom is a member of the Others. He was first seen when the Others abducted Walt and destroyed the raft in the ocean. He later appeared in the jungle when Jack, Locke and Sawyer went searching for Michael. In those appearances he seems gruff and powerful. We would later learn that he took orders from Ben and wasn’t such a hostile person after all. He was sent to New York to recruit Michael for a mission to sabotage the freighter. Upon his return to the Island, Tom was sent on a mission to abduct all the pregnant Losties but met his end when Sawyer executed him after Tom surrendered.
Ana-Lucia Cortez
A tail section survivor of Flight 815, Ana-Lucia was as rough and tumble in her past life as she was on the Island. As an LAPD cop, Ana was shot by a perpetrator, leaving her fetus dead. She got even by killing the man and quit the force the next day. After the crash she assumed a leadership role amongst the Tailies and ruled with an iron fist. After finding Jin, Sawyer and Michael, she and the Tailies trekked back to the Lostie camp, where Ana accidentally shot and killed Shannon. Ana-Lucia was killed in the Swan by Michael, while he was setting Ben free.
Libby
Though pieces of Libby’s past have been filled in, little is still known about her, including her last name. Libby survived the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 from the tail section of the plane. After Michael, Jin and Sawyer washed ashore, she and the Tailies made the trek across the Island to the Lostie camp. She became friends with Hurley and a relationship began to spark. She helped Hurley fight off his demons from the past and agreed to go on a date with him. Libby went to fetch blankets from the Hatch, where she stumbled upon Michael killing Ana-Lucia. Surprised by her appearance, Michael shot Libby in the stomach. She died shortly after.
Desmond Hume
A former set designer, monk and soldier, Desmond is uniquely caught in the middle of all the action surrounding the Island. His request to marry Penny Widmore was rejected by her father Charles. Determined to thwart Charles, Desmond entered a race around the world sponsored by Widmore. During the race, Desmond crashed on the Island and was rescued by Kelvin. For three years he lived in the Hatch until the crash of 815. He left Locke to look over the Hatch but later detonated it. While flying to the freighter he experienced odd time travel side-effects. He was last seen helping the Oceanic 6 form their alibi story.

American Idol Adds Kara DioGuardi As New Judge - Move Over Simon
Move over Simon, Randy and Paula. The smash hit talent show "American Idol" is adding a fourth judge to its already questionable panel.
Award winning songwriter Kara DioGuardi will grace the desk next to Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson when season eight of "American Idol" starts in January, the Fox network announced Monday.
Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood and Pink have all recorded DioGuardio's music. The songwriter has also penned hit songs for big-budget Hollywood movies including "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" starring Lindsay Lohan, "Scooby Doo 2" with Sarah Michelle Gellar and "A Cinderella Story" starring Hilary Duff. Kara has also written and produced music for the television shows "The Office", "Smallville" and "Hanna Montana."
Executive Producer Simon Fuller said in a released statement:
But behind the smoke and mirrors there may be other reasons for the shake-up at the judging table. It seems viewers are getting tired of the antics of Simon Cowell, citing his bad attitude and hurtful comments as a main reason some viewers chose not to watch the show last season. And Paula Abdul appears to have difficulty remembering even the simplest of things and slurs her speech much of the time, lending some to speculate she has a problem with drugs or alcohol.
In fact, last season during the finals, Paula commented on one performers song as if she had just watched it, when in fact the song was not performed until later in the show. Viewers hate Simon and put little faith in Paula's ability to be cognizant, and poor Randy can't lead the show on his own.
This synergy worked for a few seasons but may have grown stale. So a fourth panelist may be just what "American Idol" needs to gain new viewers and spice things up for next year.

Award winning songwriter Kara DioGuardi will grace the desk next to Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson when season eight of "American Idol" starts in January, the Fox network announced Monday.
"For the past seven seasons, Paula has had to endure the experience of being the only woman at the judges' table," said Mike Darnell, a Fox Executive. "With Kara by her side, Paula has some backup and now there is going to be a lot more `girl power' on the show," Darnell said.

"We are turning the heat up on `American Idol' this year and are thrilled to welcome Kara DioGuardi to the judges' table. Kara is a smart, sassy lady, and one of America's most successful songwriters. We know she will bring a new level of energy and excitement to the show."

Vincent
So far the only animal to survive the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, Vincent was originally owned by Brian Porter. When Brian married Susan Lloyd and adopted her son Walt, Vincent wound up at Walt’s side for much of the time. When Susan suddenly died, Walt was given to his biological father and Vincent went with him. Since the crash, Vincent has been seen all over the place, including getting instructions from Christian Shephard and guiding Hurley to the DHARMA van. He was last seen at the Lostie beach camp before the Island disappeared.
Christian Shephard
A one-time Chief of Surgery at St. Sebastian Hospital, Christian Shephard lost his battle with alcoholism in Australia after losing his medical license. His body was recovered by his son Jack but since the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, Christian has been seen several times on the Island. He first appeared to his son mysteriously, but he has also appeared to his daughter Claire and to John Locke as well. Christian has also appeared to his son after his escape from the Island, though it is unknown what his message is.
Kate Austen
A survivor of Oceanic Flight 815, Kate Austen was once on the run for murdering her biological father. She was pursued by a US Marshal who eventually caught her in Australia. Kate found her freedom and a new beginning when the plane they were taking back to the US crashed onto the Island. On the Island, Kate served a leadership role for the Losties. She was captured by the Others more than once and eventually escaped the Island as one of the Oceanic 6. Back home, Kate faced trial for her crimes and has taken on Aaron Littelton as her son. She was last seen telling Jack she would never go back to the Island.
George Minkowski
The communications officer aboard the freighter, George met an untimely end while searching for the Island. He informed Michael about a radio call from someone called Walt, who turned out to be Ben giving Michael instructions on sabotaging the freighter. While sabotaged at sea, George snuck out in a raft with another crew member and got caught up in some kind of storm that resulted in Minkowski experiencing a time travel phenomenon of his consciousness. He briefly met Desmond and showed him and Sayid the radio room before he died from internal hemorrhaging due to his time traveling.

Via Domus getting a sequel?
Thanks to thelostvault for the following. What would you like to see in the potential sequel?
Zygos Games have heard rumours that LOST Via Domus might be getting a sequel. If planned the game will be released in 2010, after the show actually finishes and it will also NOT be a direct sequel of Via Domus. Ubisoft hope that this well help bypass some of the heavy limitations of the original game (i.e. there weren’t allowed to show all of the island). Although the game wasn’t very well recieved a sequel could be a great thing, especially if we see the addition of an online mode.
What do you think? Should there be a sequel to the video game?

Daniel Faraday
A crew member of the freighter, Daniel is a physicist with apparent memory problems. Before coming to the Island, Daniel spent time as a professor at Queen’s College, Oxford University, where he experimented with time travel on a lab rat named Eloise. He also had an encounter with Desmond Hume and helped him find his constant. On the Island, Daniel was part of an extraction team to bring Benjamin Linus back to the freighter. The mission failed and he has since joined the Losties. He was last seen ferrying a boat full of redshirts to the freighter when the Island disappeared.
Horace Goodspeed
A mathematician for the DHARMA Initiative, Horace played a large role in the events taking place on the Island. He and his wife came across Roger and Emily Linus when she was in labor. Horace secured a job for Roger with DHARMA, which brought Roger’s son Ben to the Island. It also seems that he constructed the cabin that has come to be inhabited by Jacob. Horace was killed in The Purge but was last seen appearing to Locke in a vision, helping him find the cabin.
Naomi Dorrit
Part of the freighter crew, Naomi was a helicopter pilot and the leader of the special ops extraction team first sent to the Island from the freighter. Little is known about her background, but she was hired by Matthew Abaddon to get Daniel, Charlotte, Miles and Frank to the Island and back to the freighter safely. While searching for the Island in her chopper, she suddenly came upon it but her chopper failed and she had to bail out. She was injured but found and taken care of by the Losties. While at the radio tower she was fatally wounded by Locke and died shortly thereafter.
Charles Widmore
A wealthy British businessman, Charles Widmore has a history with more than one Island resident. His daughter Penelope is romantically involved with Desmond Hume, a man he feels in unworthy of his daughter. He also seems to have an on-going rivalry and power struggle with Benjamin Linus that somehow relates to the Island. He has been searching for the Island for some time and sent the freighter crew to its approximate location. After the Island disappeared, Charles was confronted by Ben in his home, each of them vowing to defeat the other. He was last seen discussing the Island with Sun in London.

In fact, we hear that Zac Efron has been such a prankster on the set of his new movie "High School Musical 3 - Senior Year", that his fellow cast mates decided to gang up on Efron and settle the score once and for all.
It appears that Efron has been abusing his power with water balloons throughout the entire production of HSM 3, and fellow actors Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel and Corbin Bleu decided to get even - and they got it all on video!
Of course they had to realize the video would make it to YouTube and InfoStar, but we suspect that was all part of the plan.
The revengeful cast staged an elaborate covert attack with water cannons and buckets, and strung out over 100 rolls of toilet paper in Efron's on-set trailer.
The video below catches the entire stunt on tape. Enjoy.

Shia LaBeouf Back To Work After Accident And Wrist Surgery
After a nightmare truck accident and emergency surgery to repair his crushed wrist, Shia LaBeouf is back to work on the set of "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen", sporting a large bandage on his arm and left hand.
LaBeouf's injuries stem from his July 27 car accident while driving with passenger Isabel Lucas, when another driver, Simon Herbert, ran a red light causing Shia to flip his pickup truck at 3:00 in the morning. Shia was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he underwent hand surgery to repair his left hand and fingers.
"Transformers 2" director Michael Bay says Shia's injury will be written into the new script, making it a part of the story, and will find a way shoot around it. Production of the movie was slowed while LaBeouf was in the hospital, but sources say the action thriller is still on target for its June 26, 2009 release.
The movie stars Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky and Megan Fox as Mikaela Banes, and is directed by Michael Bay with a screenplay developed by Ehren Kruger and script by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
Other interesting casting includes "The Office" funnyman Rainn Wilson as a College Professor and Josh Duhamel as Captain Lennox.
Shia LaBeouf will also be seen next February in the romantic "New York, I Love You", an anthology film joining several love stories set in one of the most loved cities of the world, New York.
Also completed and due next month is the thriller "Eagle Eye", starring Shia and Billy Bob Thornton, the story of two strangers (Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan) who become the pawns of a mysterious woman they have never met but who seems to know their every move. Realizing they are being used to further her plot for a political assassination, they must work together to outwit the woman before she has them killed.
