Bella naija creator Uche Eze, is set to walk down the aisle with son of Femi Pedro (former deputy governor of Lagos state) and C.E.O Veda technology Olabode Pedro.

  According to Gliteratti, preparations are in top gear to stage the grandest wedding ever, even though they are trying keeping it hush, hush. 
   Uche has won so many awards and has been featured on the Oprah show while Bode received the Young IT & Telecoms Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Nigerian Telecoms Awards held in Lagos, becoming the youngest ever recipient of the prestigious award. He was also voted Business Owner of the Year at the 2011 Future Awards.

Bride Asks Guests To Contribute Towards Breast Enlargement: ‘Thats all I Want’

Shunning conventional gifts, English couple Louise and Les Hampson asked their wedding guests to contribute money towards breast enlargement surgery for the bride.

Louise, 33, and Les 24, sent out 200 invites to their February nuptials which read: “We have already got a

 kettle and toaster. Crockery, dinner mats and matching coasters. So, rather than something we have already got, we would appreciate money for Louise's boob job pot!”

Astonishingly, the bizarre request appears to have been well received by guests, who generously gifted a total of $3067 (£2000) to the newlyweds.

Combined with the $3000 Louise had already saved, she underwent the breast augmentation procedure last month, boosting her bust from a 32D to a 32DD.

The bride, who has admitted having a penchant for cleavage-bearing tops, is ecstatic with the results.

“My wonderful wedding guests have given me the greatest boost to my married life — new boobs for the blushing bride!” she told Love It! Magazine.

Louise, a part-time tanning salon assistant, had been concerned about the changing shape of her bust following the birth of her three children — Jordan, 11, Leon, 10, and Keeley, 5 — from a previous relationship.

She became increasingly self-conscious after she began dating Les, her much younger next door neighbour.

However, it appears the bride’s insecurities are now a thing of the past.

“My boobs are almost healed. Soon I will be showing them off in all their glory!” a delighted Louise said.

Mildred Baena, 50, is said to have become pregnant with her son – who is now believed to be as old as 14, reports The New York Times – while employed as a housekeeper and an assistant in the Schwarzenegger-Shriver home. She worked for the couple for more than 20 years, reports ABC News.

Baena reportedly retired from her job in the Schwarzenegger household in January, the same month Schwarzenegger retired as governor of California – and informed his wife, Maria Shriver, that he had fathered a child out of wedlock. The couple announced their separation last week after 25 years of marriage.

         According to TMZ Mildred Patty Baena listed her husband, Rogelio Baena, on the child's birth certificate.  Yet in her divorce petition, filed in February, 2008, she checks the box that says, "There are no minor children."  

The upshot -- the judge would not order Rogelio to pay child support, and Patty is effectively saying someone other than him is the father.
The father, we know now, is Arnold Schwarzenegger, who had been secretly supporting Patty and the boy.


    In related news. Maria Shriver has broken her silence and responded to the news that her estranged husband, former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, fathered a child with a member of his household staff 10 years ago.
"This is a painful and heartbreaking time," said Shriver, 55. "As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment."

Nigerian Designer, Gets Harper's Bazaar Feature

Nigerian born, designer Yemi Osunkoya has just been featured by international magazine Harper's Bazaar. The man behind fashion power house 'Kosibah' celebrated his birthday last Saturday (23rd of April to be precise) and is still basking in the success of his fashion outing at the Oaken wedding event featuring Preston Bailey. In the interview he talked about an array of  issues from his prediction on   what Kate Middleton will wear on her wedding day to what got him into the bridal couture business.

On what got him into the business he had this to say, "It's a bit of a cliché, but ever since I was about 6 or 7, I would draw," says the Nigerian native. "I'd come back from the weddings and draw what I'd seen. Then I started putting my own ideas into my drawings and not just copying what I had seen".

Nigerian Gets Royal Wedding Invite

A Nigerian Mr Seyi Obakin is going to be among the 1,900 guest who have the rare honour of attending the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton. Mr Seyi is the Chief Executive of Centrepoint, a charity which caters to homeless youths of which the Prince William is a patron.

I really can not wait to see what Kate will wear on her wedding day. There has been many predictions from different people including designers with our very own Yemi Osunkoya predicting that........... well i leave his prediction for another post. I can'a say if she will wear the traditional big ballroom gown, if it will have a very long train like her mother inlaw's gown or if it will be a modern fish tail cut, what i know however is that the dress will end up being an iconic one .

John Dumelo Set To Wed

Rumour has it that Ghanaian actor John Dumelo is about to settle down.  John who is in a relationship with  his desperation co-star Leonora Okine wants to lock her down permanently.

John is quoted as saying "It is very difficult to find a woman who understands me, my busy schedule and trusts me completely as Leo does". He told his friends how lucky he is that no matter what rumor Leonora hears, she doesn't attack him but instead laughs with him. Halle Berry Fights Ex for Custody of Daughter

    Oscar winning actress Halle Berry, is planning to take ex Gabriel Aubry to court to fight for custody of their two-year-old daughter Nahla.

Aubrey, 35, filed court papers Dec. 30 seeking to be formally recognized as Nahla's father and to establish that he'll share custody. The couple split last April.

There was no word on what prompted the custody dispute.

Berry's rep says, "Halle has always made the needs and safety of her daughter her first priority and, both while Halle and Gabriel were a couple and since their break-up, Halle has only acted in her daughter's best interest."

Yeoal...Who is Irantiola Funmilola?

I am a graduate of Mass communication OOU,Ogun state.A Goldman Sachs Scholar from Lagos Business School. I am in my late twenties. I had no formal training in fashion or make-up. I just developed an interest in it and i groomed myself though books, pictures and a lot of practice.

I am strong,driven and very determined lady. I have a passion for improving upon the status quo especially when it comes to things related to beauty and fashion.

Yeoal....What prompted your interest in makeup artistry and when was Abeke makeovers born?

A major incident in secondary school opened my eyes to the power of Makeup. I had a

guardian whose daughter took me like a sister and whenever she came home from the university she was in, she’ll let me hang around her.

I remember vividly this day that I sat across from her and there she was doing makeup . I didn’t know what she was doing in particular I just know I saw her in five different looks that day.
Whenever she tweaked something, she'll look different again, What blew my mind most was when she wore her wig, she totally changed and I still cannot forget how my mouth was left open for hours literally till this day.
That event sparked my interest in beauty and fashion generally.
That being said, Abeke makeovers was born in November 2005 though it was initially known as Abeke salon and spa services . I managed it along with my school in Ogun state till 2008 when i closed it up and relocated to Lagos.

Yeoal.....Have you faced any challenge in the business, If yes what is it?

Besides the generic problems every entrepreneur in Nigeria faces, the main challenge is the fact that our business is seasonal. Everyone knows that there's the October to December rush, the January lull, fasting periods and summer when every one travels out. As such you have varying fluctuations in sales because sales is dependent on how conducive the season is for parties and events.

Yeoal....What makeup tool can't you do without.

Yeoal....What facial feature do you think people notice first hence should be emphasized?

It is often said that the eyes are the windows to the soul and unless a person has another motive when he is talking to you, he wouldn't be looking anywhere else on your face other than your eyes.

Yeoal.....If you weren't a makeup artist, what would you have been?

I'll probably have been a full time Fashion stylist and personal shopper or a Full time Interior decorator.

I say full-time because i already do them part time.

Yeoal....What stands you out from other makeup artists?

My passion for always trying to maximize the potential of every face i touch.

Yeoal....Congratulations on your recent award by City People as the best makeup artist in Nigeria. What was the feeling like when you won?

Thank you. I felt great and grateful to the people who made it happen for me.

Yeoal....What common makeup faux pas do people make?

Drawing a thin line around their lips instead of shading in order to avoid lipstick feathering.

Yeoal....In your own opinion what makeup rule / application should not be compromised?

Skin preparation

Yeoal....The harmattan weather is particularly harsh this year, any makeup tip for looking good while it last?

Apply your moisturiser on your skin and let it settle for up to 10 minutes before you wear your makeup or if your skin is fairly smooth wear a tinted moisturizer instead.

Yeoal....What makeup trend do you think will be dominant in the year 2011?

Wearing proper foundation. People are beginning to loose their fear of foundation because they now realise that if they want that flawless look, they cannot do without it.

Yeoal....Any last word for intending makeup artists.
