Congratulations to Jin and Richard for making it into the next round. Bernard put up more fight than anyone else so far, but it couldn't even come close to making it a tight one.
Jin: 94% (selected on 98.4% of all brackets) Karl: 6% (selected on 1.5% of all brackets)
Richard: 83% (selected on 97.1% of all brackets) Bernard: 17% (selected on 2.8% of all brackets)
The brackets have been updated. Are you one of the 1141 still in the running for the perfect bracket? I know I am. Perhaps things haven't been close enough with the matchups yet for your liking? Do you crave a bracket-busting throw-down?
I wouldn't say today gives us our first neck and neck bout, but it will certainly go a long way in affecting the chase for the perfect bracket. Our first matchup sees a sister taking on a wife. Will Rose fair better than her husband, or will Shannon be the end of her? Our second matchup is a battle between two dead Others. Will the good (Alex) conquer the bad (Bea)? Your votes will do the talking (and you can also do some talking in the comment section)!
Shannon Rutherford Before the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, Shannon was the only daughter of a wealthy single father. Her dad married Sabrina Carlyle when she was eight years old, giving her a step-brother named Boone. When her father died, Sabrina cut her off and she spent a few years conning her gullible step-brother into giving her money. On the Island Shannon struggled to find a purpose and eventually helped Sayid decipher some of Rousseau’s maps. They formed a relationship, which ended suddenly when Shannon was accidentally shot and killed by Ana-Lucia.
Rose Henderson After surviving the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, Rose spent a good deal of time to herself. She was confident that her husband had survived the crash even though he had been in the tail section at the time. Before the crash, Rose had married Bernard only months after meeting him. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer but it seemed to have disappeared after crashing onto the Island. Because of this, Rose has been hesitant of any rescue attempt as she fears the cancer might return if she leaves. She was last seen at the beach camp before the Island disappeared.
Bea Klugh A very mysterious person, Bea (or Ms. Klugh) was encountered by Michael after he was captured by the Others. She supervised a short meeting between Michael and his son Walt and seemed to instill fear in the boy. She was later seen at the Flame station, where she was captured by Sayid and Kate. However, before they could extract any information from her, she ordered Mikhail to shoot and kill her on the spot, which he did.
Alex Rousseau/Linus Actually the daughter of Danielle Rousseau, Alex was taken from her mother by the Others shortly after her birth. She was raised to believe she was Benjamin Linus’ daughter and grew up in the Others’ community. A relationship developed between her and a young Other named Karl. Her adoptive father tried to prevent them from seeing each other but failed. At one time or another, Alex helped rescue Claire, Kate and Sawyer from the Others and eventually joined the Losties. She followed Locke to the Barracks and was taken captive by Keamy’s team while she, Karl and Rousseau were hiking to the Temple. She was executed by Keamy during a raid on the Barracks.
