BEREA, Ohio – Eric Mangini won't be granted a third season as Cleveland's coach.
Given a second chance last year by Browns president Mike Holmgren to improve, Mangini was fired Monday following a second straight 5-11 season and one day after a humiliating home loss to the rival Pittsburgh Steelers.
Holmgren, who spent several days mulling Mangini's future after last season, wasted no time and dismissed him during a morning meeting.
