The bracket site has been updated. Our three perfect bracketeers are still holding strong. Will one or more of them finally fall today? Our first battle is between a bloodthirsty mercenary and a time-traveling Scotsman. Our second matchup pits one of the Island's most dangerous inhabitants against a fan-favorite original Lostie. Who's gonna win this time?
Martin Keamy
A former soldier with a laundry list of questionable mercenary employments, Keamy was hired by Charles Widmore to find the Island, extract Ben Linus alive and kill everyone else. Keamy led an assault on the Barracks which led to the execution of Ben’s daughter and the deaths of several redshirts. Ben called the Smoke Monster, which chased Keamy and his team away. Keamy returned, wearing a dead man’s trigger connected to C4 explosive on the freighter. He made his way to the Orchid, where he was killed by Ben, causing the freighter to explode.
Desmond Hume
A former set designer, monk and soldier, Desmond is uniquely caught in the middle of all the action surrounding the Island. His request to marry Penny Widmore was rejected by her father Charles. Determined to thwart Charles, Desmond entered a race around the world sponsored by Widmore. During the race, Desmond crashed on the Island and was rescued by Kelvin. For three years he lived in the Hatch until the crash of 815. He left Locke to look over the Hatch but later detonated it. While flying to the freighter he experienced odd time travel side-effects. He was last seen helping the Oceanic 6 form their alibi story.
The Smoke Monster
Possibly one of the Island’s most early inhabitants, the Smoke Monster is one of Lost’s ongoing mysteries. Nobody knows exactly what it is, although Ben Linus seems to be privy to more information about it than he lets on. In the few times we have seen it, Smokey appears capable of temporarily manifesting itself into other things, such as people or things from someone’s past, as well as scanning the minds of those it encounters. The Smoke Monster has killed several people it has confronted and it seems that it can be called for as evidenced by Ben.
James “Sawyer” Ford
A survivor of Oceanic Flight 815, James Ford spent most of his life tracking down the con man responsible for his parents’ deaths. He himself became a con man, going by the name Sawyer and once murdered a man in a case of mistaken identity. After crashing on the Island, Sawyer collected items strewn in the wreckage, setting up his own little bartering post. He has gone on many A-Team missions, been captured by the Others and escaped, served as temporary camp leader in Jack’s absence, and even found and killed the con man he had been looking for. Sawyer was last seen on the beach with Juliet before the Island disappeared.
