After an astonishing 5700+ votes and countless lead changes, the final tallies are in. Congratulations to Jack. He pulled away towards the end but had to hold on as Sawyer made a last hour comeback. He moves into the Final Four.
Jack: 50%- 2897 votes (selected to win Round 4 on 27.4% of all brackets)
Sawyer: 50%- 2840 votes (selected to win Round 4 on 56.3% of all brackets)
So I guess this was an upset, since a majority of our bracketeers thought James would come out on top!
The bracket site has been updated and we're down to one leader with only a few matchups remaining! Vincent "Vinnie" Haney is currently the man to beat. Will he hang on to the end and claim the DVD prize? We'll have to wait and see.
Well after Locke vs. Ben and Jack vs. Sawyer, I think we're all looking forward to a nice calm matchup. Well, I don't know how calm a matchup can be when it pits a former Iraqi torturer against a time traveling Scotsman. It's fisticuffs for two men who have shown they can be lovers and fighters. But sadly, only one will make their way into the semifinals. Will it be Sayid or Desmond?
Sayid Jarrah
A survivor of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, Sayid has employed a number of skills from his military training to help the Losties. A former Iraqi Republican Guard communications officer and torturer, Sayid has acted as both a leader and a follower, going on many different missions and journeys while on the Island. He was one of six Losties to escape the Island. He was reunited with his long-lost love Nadia, but became an assassin for Ben after she was murdered in LA. Sayid was last seen breaking Hurley out of the Santa Rosa Mental Health Institute.
Desmond Hume
A former set designer, monk and soldier, Desmond is uniquely caught in the middle of all the action surrounding the Island. His request to marry Penny Widmore was rejected by her father Charles. Determined to thwart Charles, Desmond entered a race around the world sponsored by Widmore. During the race, Desmond crashed on the Island and was rescued by Kelvin. For three years he lived in the Hatch until the crash of 815. He left Locke to look over the Hatch but later detonated it. While flying to the freighter he experienced odd time travel side-effects. He was last seen helping the Oceanic 6 form their alibi story.
