Congrats to yesterday’s winners, the Hatch Door, the Fail Safe Key, the Swan Station Countdown Timer, and the Black Rock Wreckage. They all advance.
Today’s polls could very well be our toughest yet, but you can be the judge of that.
Poll 1 gives us Charlie’s emotional letter; his Greatest Hits. It also gives us last year’s prop cup winner, Radzinsky’s Blast Door Map. If that wasn’t enough, we also have last year’s 2nd place finalist and runner-up, the Swan Station Orientation Film. To close things up, we have a brand new big-hitter in the form of the Fake 815 Wreckage.
Poll 2 is just as bad, if not worse. It brings us the time-traveling bunnies tutorial; the Orchid Station Orientation Video. Second we have the Ancient Hieroglyphic Door, the source of many an exhaustive debate. Eko’s Stick needs no introduction; it was last year’s 4th place finalist. And finally the Black & White Stones, another strong talking point over the years.
Which will you vote for, and why?
Please note: Round 2 polls are multiple choice, meaning that you may vote for more than one prop in each poll. Additionally, two props will proceed from each Round 2 poll.

"Transformers" Movie Gets Universal Studios Attraction
While director Michael Bay and actors Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox finish up work on "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen", Universal Studios has been working behind the scenes on its latest attraction.
The movie themed park is developing a new, hi-tech and special effects intense attraction based on the popular "Transformers" movie franchise. To date, the films have grossed over $700 million dollars around the world - not including the latest sequel.
The high-tech ride is being developed by a core group of uber partners including Universal Parks and Resorts, Hasbro and DreamWorks. The new ride will combine 3-D, High Definition HD, space-age robotics and the usual Universal magic, in an adventure ride that "will transform perceptions of theme park experiences," according to park executives.
Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Rainn Wilson have been busy completing "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" in time for its June 2009 release, where the battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun.

"Angels & Demons" - Early Review And New Movie Trailer
Tom Hanks and Ron Howard are capitalizing on the success of "The Da Vinci Code", the thriller novel by Dan Brown, with the movie "Angels & Demons". This was the reclusive author's third novel after he gave up his job as an English teacher.
Based on the book "Angels and Demons", the movie follows notorious Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), who is called to a Swiss research facility (CERN) to analyze a mysterious symbol burned into the chest of a murdered physicist. Langdon finds evidence of the unthinkable - the revival of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the "Illuminati", the most powerful underground secret organization ever to exist.
Clues lead Langdon all over Rome and the Vatican, including the four alters of science, Earth, Air, Fire and Water, while an Assassin working for the Illuminati has kidnapped four Roman Catholic cardinals, and is murdering them one by one. At the same time, Langdon and Vittoria (Ayelet Zurer) are also searching for a new, and very destructive weapon that could kill millions of people and destroy Vatican City.
The movie is being filmed at a number of Roman locations found in the book, including the Pantheon, the Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria, and the Piazza Navona with its Fountain of the Four Rivers, the Castel Sant'Angelo and the centuries-old Biblioteca Angelica. However, Vatican officials made it clear from the beginning that there would be NO filming in or around the sacred city. The Vatican scenes were recreated on soundstages in Los Angeles to the last detail.
In fact, the official word from the Vatican is they abhor the very idea of the movie, and have called for a boycott upon its release. But then again, what would you expect their position to be?
In the movie, as in the book, a look inside the Vatican library reveals a book by Galileo that holds the clues to where the four cardinals will be murdered. These clues are hidden in what's called 'The Path of Illumination,' a complicated kind of map that leads to the secret meeting place of The Illuminati.
The film stars Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon, Ayelet Zurer as Vittoria Vetra, and Ewan McGregor as Carlo Ventresca, who in the book plays the carmelegro of the Vatican Church and is in a powerful position after the Pope dies. This helps Langdon, as Carlo is the voice of understanding and is the one whom pleads for the search of the anti-matter. But Carlo has a dark secret and a sad past, and might not be what you expect him to be.
"Angels & Demons" was the first big screen casualty of the Hollywood writer's strike in 2007, because Akiva Goldsman's script still needed work, and was on strike with the Writers Guild of America, causing production of the movie to be delayed.
We suspect "Angels & Demons" will be just as big as "The DaVinci Code" was, and we can't wait to see the final big-screen version. It will be a huge hit, and the award buzz will probably start the day it opens in theaters.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 2, Matches 7 & 8
UPDATE: Polls were down for a while, but they are working again now. Get voting.
Congrats to yesterday's winners, Jacob's Chair, the Giant Question Mark, Desmond's Photo, and the Dharma Van.
Today's first poll brings us the Fail Safe Key, a prop that led to one of the biggest ‘WTF’ moments in the history of LOST. It also brings us the Hatch, which again delivered a major ‘WTF’ moment (a few in fact). We also have fan favourite, the Fish Biscuit, as well as the ever popular Orchid Station Time Travel Pod.
Poll 2 delivers a little religion, a little technology, a little mythology, and err, Sawyer’s quirky reading glasses. Which will you vote for; the Virgin Mary Statues, Sawyer’s Glasses, the Swan Station Timer, or the Black Rock Wreckage?
Please note: Round 2 polls are multiple choice, meaning that you may vote for more than one prop in each poll. Additionally, two props will proceed from each Round 2 poll.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 2, Matches 5 & 6
A few tough choices today. Yesterday's winners were the Swan Station Wall Mural, the Circle of Ash, Alpert's Test Items, and Mikhail's Eye Patch. Congratulations to them.
Poll 1 brings us Jacob’s Chair, Ben’s Wooden Doll, the Giant Question Mark, and Locke’s Orange Peel. Can the orange peel possibly compete with the likes of mythology props? Will the sentimentality of the wooden doll carry it through? Time to find out what you think.
Poll 2 sees four big-hitters facing off. We have a map, a photo, a land-vehicle, and an air-vehicle. Will the yellow plane fly through to Round 3? Or will it crash and burn? Can Skeletor’s driving skills steer the Dharma Van safely through to the next round? Does Desmond’s photo still tug at your heart strings? Will Danielle's map find it’s way through to Round 3? Get voting.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 2, Matches 3 & 4
Congratulations to yesterday’s winners, the Swan Station Computer, the System Failure Print-Out, Sawyer's Letter, and the Fuselage Wreckage. They all proceed through to Round 3. They are safe, for now.
Today’s Poll 1 brings us a mix of props in the form of the Circle of Ash, the Satellite Phone, Halliwax’s Torn Jacket, and the Swan Station Wall Mural. All four are very different in terms of story relevance and general depiction; however, one could argue that they have each been equally intriguing in their own rights.
Poll 2, in a tongue-in-cheek sense, is all about the super-powers. We have Jacob’s lamp; that of which belongs to some kind of ghostly super-being. We have Walt’s seemingly soothsayer comic. We have Alpert’s Test Items, which apparently belong to Locke, even though a younger Locke had never even seen them before. Lastly, we have Mikhail’s Eye Patch; that which belonged to a man of indestructible fortitude.
Which will you vote for, and why?

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 2, Matches 1 & 2
Firstly, congrats go to yesterday’s winners. The Frozen Donkey Wheel, Apollo Chocolate Bar, Walt’s Comic, Locke’s Orange Peel, Mikhail’s Eye Patch, Halliwax’s Torn Jacket, Hurley’s Lottery Ticket, and Sawyer’s Reading Glasses.
With a new week, begins a brand new round in the ‘Iconic Prop Cup 2008’. We journey on now, into Round 2, having weeded out all of the lesser props. Only the most iconic of LOST props remain, as voted for by you.
As always, feel free to leave a comment and discuss your choices.
Today’s first poll sees heavyweight ‘the Swan Station Computer’ going up against the likes of the 815 Flight Manifest, the System Failure Print-Out, and Locke’s Knives. Will last year’s 3rd place finalist hold them all at bay? Or have loyalties shifted since then?
Poll 2 has the Fuselage Wreckage going up against Sawyer’s Letter. It also brings us the scrutinized Newspaper Obituary, and a little cuteness in the form of Ben’s Bunny (aka, the white rabbits). Which of these props do you feel deserve to proceed?
Please note: Round 2 polls are multiple choice, meaning that you may vote for more than one prop in each poll. Additionally, two props will proceed from each Round 2 poll.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 1, Matches 21, 22, 23 & 24
Well, Sunday is here, and we have just four polls left in Round 1. So we figured, why not make it a ‘Super Sunday’ and cram everything in? So that is what we did!
Here are the final 4 polls for Round 1, which means that this is your final chance to separate the iconic props from the iconic nots. Round 2 will surely be a little more controversial, so enjoy the last remnants of Round 1 while you still can.
Please note: Round 1 polls are multiple choice, meaning that you may vote for more than one prop in each poll. In some cases, however, it may be wise to place just 1 or 2 votes, as not to gimp your true favourites. Additionally, two props will proceed from each Round 1 poll.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 1, Matches 19 & 20
Congrats go to yesterday’s winners, the Virgin Mary Statues, the Orchid Station Orientation Video, the Hatch Door, and the Pearl Station Orientation Video. Let us commence with today’s new set of polls.
A tasty fish biscuit. A rat maze time machine. “Rx-1”. A tattoo. A father’s last words to his son. An emotional letter dating back an entire lifetime. Which of these Poll 1 props will win your votes?
Poll 2 brings us perhaps the most celebrated orientation prop in Lost. It also brings us a motorized raft, Charlotte’s bulletproof jacket, a GPS transponder, a ghostly chessboard, and Jacob’s very own lamp. Which will you vote for and why?

Jennifer Hudson's Mother Killed
Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were found murdered Friday - both the victims of gun shot wounds.
They were found at their Chicago home, and police are searching for Hudson's missing nephew who was at the house at the time of the murders.
An Amber Alert was issued Friday evening for the missing boy.
William Balfour, a suspect in the case, is in custody and being questioned by police. As of Saturday morning he had not been charged with any crime. A police spokeswoman said detectives were talking to "a number of people in custody".
Police say Balfour is a prime suspect in the double murders of Darnell Donerson, 57, and Jason Hudson, 29.
Hudson's publicist, Lisa Kasteler, confirmed the deaths:
Hudson, who grew up in Chicago, was featured in the recent "Sex and the City" movie, and is currently starring in the film "The Secret Life of Bees."
She won an Academy Award for best supporting actress in 2007 for her role in "Dreamgirls" with Jamie Foxx, Beyoncé Knowles and Eddie Murphy.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 1, Matches 17 & 18
Another fresh day of voting ahead, with another new set of props. Firstly, congrats to yesterday's winners, the Black Rock Wreckage, The Dharma Van, the Swan Station Computer, and the Black & White Stones.
Today, poll 1 delivers a virgin junkie, an old video, a secondary protocol, a cute/scary rat (depending on whether you actually like rats), Geronimo Jackson, and last but not least, some dodgy handwriting. Which of these props tickles your fancy?
Settle down, lads. Settle down. We wouldn’t want to upset zombie-Boone. Poll 2 brings us Shannon’s bikini, of what little there is. It goes up against Elizabeth’s rear-end. But seriously, we have the Sailboat, the Pearl Station Orientation Video, Regina’s Chains, the Bikini (glee!), the infamous Hatch Door, and a box of old Crackers. Which will you vote for, and why?

SNL Thursday - Will Ferrell And Tina Fey - Video
Well, they did it again.
Lorne Michaels and the gang at Saturday Night Live once again put together a Thursday Night mini-version that nailed it.
The opening sketch included a visit from our friend Tina Fey as Sarah Palin, and a surprise visit by ex SNL veteran Will Ferrell as George W. Bush.
The president used a prime time television appearance to publicly give the republican presidential ticket his person endorsement. It was a classic, and good to see Ferrell back in the role of Bush.
The weekend update portion once again featured financial consultant Oscar Rodgers giving his now famous advice on the worldwide financial crisis - FIX IT! And Fred Armisen had fun playing with his new mega pixel touch screen election map.
After last Saturdays disappointing showing it was good to see things back on track. However, the Adam Samberg digital short - while funny, grew old after the fifth time he threw up on a stranger. Puke and comedy can only go so far together.

"Pride And Glory" Hits Theaters - Review And New Movie Trailer
Truth. Honor. Loyalty. Family. What are you willing to sacrifice?
"Pride And Glory" opens this week; a narrative centered around one families generation of New York City Police officers. The Tierney family literally lives and breathes for the New York City Police Department. Former police chief Francis (Jon Voight) heads a family of three cops: his sons Ray (Ed Norton) and Francis Jr. (Noah Emmerich), and his son-in-law Jimmy Egan (Colin Farrell).
The family's moral ethics are put to the test when Ray Tierney investigates a case that reveals a massive police corruption scandal involving his own brother-in-law. For Ray, learning the truth threatens to destroy not only the Tierney family legacy, but also the entire NYPD.
With the holidays approaching, the entire family is hit with calamity when four police officers are killed in a brutal shooting. Anxious to find out what went wrong and why, a task force is put together to investigate the deaths, and Ray finds himself thrown into the middle of the chaos.
When Ray's investigation uncovers police corruption, his whole life is destroyed and the good name of the Tierney family is swiftly shadowed by suspicion.
Directed and scripted by Gavin O'Connor, "Pride and Glory" is a New Line Cinema film that is worth the trip to the theater, but is not for the faint of heart.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 1, Matches 15 & 16
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. This, in my own personal opinion, will be the most painful day of voting yet. Congrats to yesterday's winners, Ben's Bunny (the white rabbits), Locke's drawing of the smoke monster, the Fuselage Wreckage, and the System Failure Print-out.
Poll 1 has a bunch of big players in the form of one of television’s most exalted wheelchairs, the coolest VW van ever, ‘the’ coffin (enough said), and perhaps the most interesting and thought-provoking ship wreckage ever (both on and off television). That is not to mention fan favourite, the Black Rock dynamite (R.I.P Arzt), and the Code 14J telephone.
Poll 2 is just about as brutal. Baby Locke, Skeletor, and Christian’s shoe. But can they compete against the likes of the legendary Swan Station Computer, the Black & White Stones, and the ever popular Ninja Baton. Which will you vote for? Ask yourself, what would Ben do?

Season 5 - Sell Sheet
My contact has just sent this through to me. Nothing very exciting but not much news happening so what the hell.
This is a newly published "Sell sheet" that ABC use when sending out promotional materials for Season 5. So hopefully this will mean that we'll get some new promotional material shortly.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 1, Matches 13 & 14
Welcome to another day of voting goodness. Congrats go to yesterday's winners, the High-tech Satellite Phone, the Orchid Time Travel Pod, the Fake 815 Wreckage, and Ben's Wooden Doll.
Today’s polls see just one original prop from last year’s competition, going up against a whole host of new-comers. This should make for some interesting voting.
Ben’s bunny, for what we refer to the white rabbits as, is today’s sole survivor from last year’s competition. In Poll 1, it goes up against an axe, a monster (of sorts), a board game, a photograph, and last but not least, a stack of ungodly explosives.
Poll 2 brings us six new prop additions. Two of them may look very familiar, but they did in fact miss out last year, due in part to the Location Cup that took place, and in needing to dwindle down the list. We have amended for that this time around. So what will it be? Where do your votes lie?
Please note: Round 1 polls are multiple choice, meaning that you may vote for more than one prop in each poll. In some cases, however, it may be wise to place just 1 or 2 votes, as not to gimp your true favourites. Additionally, two props will proceed from each Round 1 poll.

Will Smith Gay? One Hollywood Madame Says "Yes"
The new word on the street is that actor Will Smith is gay, and has used the expensive escort services of a well-known Hollywood Madame to provide him with young male prostitutes.
The un-named Madame, who is now working out of New York, says Smith was a good client for many years.
She asserts that she had to work extra-hard to convince Smith that her operation was exclusive, and that she could "guarantee discretion."
Rumors that Smith is gay have been around for several years, but until more definitive proof shows up, we don't believe it. The so-called Hollywood Madame is unknown, and only anonymous quotes have been attributed to her without any substantiation.
Besides, Smith is married to hottie Jada Pinkett Smith, who we are pretty sure would not put up with such extravagant extra-curricular activity. So for now, we have to say this is just a rumor, and a bad one at that.
For his part, Will Smith is currently wrapping work on the drama "Seven Pounds", due this December. The film tells the emotional story of Ben (Will Smith), an IRS agent who is depressed and guilt-ridden about mistakes from his past. He sets out to make amends by helping seven strangers.
If you want the low-down on who is gay, and out-and-proud in Hollywood, just take a look at our Top 10 Gay Male Celebrities List For 2008.

"Once I convinced him the business could be discrete, he placed his order. It was for a male prostitute. I had fourteen good-looking women working for me - and two guys. You'd be shocked at how many Hollywood celebrities request the services of the men".

Rob Riggle Leaving "The Daily Show"
The Daily Show With Jon Stewart is losing another fake news correspondent.
Fake military Analyst Rob Riggle is set to follow the likes of Steve Carell, Rob Corddry, Ed Helms and Stephen Colbert, and is leaving the show to develop, and star in his own new half-hour sitcom on the CBS television network.
According to Variety magazine, Riggle is considering several options for his new show, one of which would be based on his years as a Major in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
Riggle, 38, has spent time in Iraq as part of a USO tour for the troops, and filmed various "Daily Show" spots while there. He is best known as the sometimes-angry "Military Correspondent" on the show.
A lot of people don't realize it, but Riggle appeared as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" during the 2004 season before joining Jon Stewart on the Daily Show. His spot on the show helped fill the void of departing Steven Colbert who left to start his now popular show "The Colbert Report"
Riggle was also part of the cult comedy series ""Upright Citizens Brigade", which also included Amy Poehler, Rob Corddry and Horatio Sanz. He has also made guest appearances on "The Office" and "Arrested Development", and played the role of Jack Telmont in "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly.
Just this year, Riggle appeared in another Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly comedy "Step Brothers" as Randy, in the story of two spoiled guys who become competitive stepbrothers after their single parents get married.
Riggle, who was born April 21, 1970 in Overland Park Kansas, says he'll remain with The Daily Show through the end of this season.
The announcement of Riggle's departure comes after another blow to the show was announced last week - the news that fellow correspondents Samantha Bee and Jason Jones have also signed a development deal with CBS and will be leaving the show. Most viewers are unaware that Bee and Jones are married to each other in real life.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 1, Matches 11 & 12
Congrats go to the Wall Mural, the Dharma Brand Beer, Jacob's Chair and Locke's knives, for making it through to Round 2. Christian's coffin missed out by just 3 votes. Ouch.
Interestingly, both of today’s polls contain toys.
Poll 1 brings us three separate station based props; the Pearl station, the Tempest station and the Orchid station; Canister, Computer terminal and Time Travel Pod. The poll also offers us some cool gadgetry in the form of a Satellite Phone and Keamy’s Detonator. Also a shout out for the cuddly panda bear.
In Poll 2 we find three toys of sorts; the Millennium Falcon toy (“son of a bitch!”), the horseshoes and Ben’s Wooden Doll. They go up against big players in the form of the Temple Map and the Fake 815 Wreckage. Can the phony C4 bomb compete? Let’s find out.
Please note: Round 1 polls are multiple choice, meaning that you may vote for more than one prop in each poll. In some cases, however, it may be wise to place just 1 or 2 votes, as not to gimp your true favourites. Additionally, two props will proceed from each Round 1 poll.

Nick Hogan Out Of Jail
After almost six months behind bars, Nick Hogan (Bollea) has been released from jail.
His sentence, resulting from a car accident that left his passenger in a vegetative state for life, was cut short by three months for good behavior.
Young Nick, however, may be walking out of one nightmare and into another.
Since his time in prison, his parents Hulk (real name Terry Bollea) and Linda have filed for divorce while involved in a very public dispute over houses and money. And his sister Brooke Hogan can't seem to shake a bad Hollywood reputation as an airhead.
Nick Hogan was released from Pinellas County Jail just after midnight Tuesday morning. Nick copped a no contest to a felony charge of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury last spring. He was sentenced to eight months in jail.
Nick may be getting out early for good behavior, but he still has 500 hours of community service, five years probation and a three-year license suspension to look forward to.
His best friend and passenger in the car, John Graziano, remains hospitalized and will require medical care the rest of his life.

Cameron Diaz Still Loves Matt Dillon
Cameron Diaz has certainly been around the block a few times with some of Hollywood's biggest names, but the actress recently told OK Magazine that she is still in love with Matt Dillon.
Diaz told the magazine that even though the couple broke up more than ten years ago, she never really recovered from their breakup - and that Dillon was her first true love.
Cameron, 36, is currently involved with model Paul Sculfor, but friends say that her attraction to Dillon could be causing problems with her current relationship.
Matt Dillon, 44, has also said publicly he still loves Diaz. Two years ago he told Parade Magazine that he "fell in love" with Cameron after he met her in 1995. The pair started dating that year, but ended their relationship three years later.
Diaz is currently filming the animated family adventure "Shrek Goes Fourth", the further adventures of the giant green ogre, Shrek (Mike Myers), living in the land of Far, Far Away. The film is not due until 2010, and also stars Eddie Murphy as The Donkey and Antonio Banderas as Puss In Boots. Diaz of course, plays the role of Princess Fiona.
Matt Dillon is currently filming the action crime drama "Bone Deep", starring Hayden Christensen and Dillon, about a group of bank robbers who find their $20 million plan interrupted by a hard-nosed detective.

One friend told the tabloid, "I'm sure she still thinks about him all the time, Cameron looks bored to tears with Paul. He must not do much for her. I honestly don't think they'll stay together much longer."

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 1, Matches 9 & 10
Congrats to yesterday's winners, Eko's Stick, the Flight Manifest, the Giant Question Mark, and the Fail Safe Key. The Dharma Shark missed out by just 5 votes. Unlucky.
There is another tough day of voting ahead, with a varied selection of props that are sure to boggle your minds. Today’s polls will be tough to call; it looks like an even playing field to me.
Poll 1 sees Christian’s coffin going up against some alcohol. Fitting perhaps? We also have big-hitters in the form of the Swan Station Wall Mural, The Black Rock Journal and the iconic red freighter phone (best known for the Desmond/Penny phone call). Will Frank’s toy plane get a look in?
Poll 2 delivers drama and suspense by the bucket load. Hunting knives, doomsday music, a ghostly chair, a painting of a ghostly ship, and even a blueprint held by a ghost! The only thing even partially normal about this poll seems to be Desmond’s book. Which of these six props do you wish to proceed?

"Max Payne" Hits Theaters - Review And Extended Movie Trailer
The autumn blockbuster movie season is heating up and last weekend seemed to jump start the action films. Just released - "Max Payne", starring Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges and Chris O'Donnell.
Coming together to solve a series of murders in New York City are a DEA agent (Mark Wahlberg), whose family was killed as part of a conspiracy, and an assassin (Mila Kunis), who is out to avenge her sister's death. The police, the mob, and a ruthless corporation hunt the pair.
Demons, in the shape of winged serpents, disturb Max, but nothing real or imagined will get in the way of his mission. Complicating things is Max Payne's guru B.B. (Beau Bridges), an ex-cop who is involved with security for a large pharmaceutical company, which may hold the key to the mystery.
Forces, both real and hidden, are hard at work to keep Max, who is clearly fighting his inner demons, from reaching his goal.
"Max Payne" delivered a strong performance at the box office Friday with $7.2 million pushing it to the number one spot. The adaptation of the popular video game had the widest release at 3,376 locations this weekend, gaining an early lead in what could transform into a solid box office weekend.

"Chocolate News" Debuts - David Alan Grier Strikes Gold - Video
Ever since David Alan Grier left "In Living Color", he has been looking for a comedy vehicle that would let him put a unique spin on parody - an African American spin, with perspective.
He may have struck gold and found a new home with "Chocolate News". It's not that Viacom is trying to compete with Jon Stewart and "The Daily Show", but Comedy Central has needed a good sketch comedy show ever since "The Chappelle Show" ended.
David Alan Grier produces and stars in this weekly, funny half-hour comedy, portraying everyone from poet Maya Angelou finishing her Barack Obama and John McCain benediction poems, to a music rapper who creates vulgar public service announcements for the "No Child Left Behind" act.
Call it a cross between In Living Color, Saturday Night Live and the Colbert Report - throw in a little Carlos Mencia and you have a show.
The program is so new you can tell they have not had a chance to polish the edges. It needs a little work, but could turn out to be a big hit. "Chocolate News" is funny - now it just needs time to find a following.

Mark Wahlberg Confronts Andy Samberg On SNL - Video
Mark Wahlberg visited the set of Saturday Night Live last night to settle the score with Andy Samberg. Last week, Samberg made fun of Wahlberg in a sketch called "Mark Wahlberg Talks With Animals".
Last night, Mark confronted Samberg backstage to settle the score.
The show was hosted by Josh Brolin who is currently appearing in the Oliver Stone film "W". Tina Fey joined to lampoon Alaskan Governor and Vice President candidate Sarah Palin, and Alec Baldwin made a special guest appearance to kick things off.
You have to believe that Lorne Michaels is loving this last few weeks, as Fey had left the show last year to focus on her own television show "30 Rock". It's nice to see her visit her old stomping grounds to help a guy out when he needs it.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 1, Matches 7 & 8
Congrats to yesterday's winners, Desmond's Photo, Alpert's Test Items, the Yellow Plane, and F.A.T.E. Commiserations go to Michael's Raft, which lost out by just 10 votes.
But good golly Miss Molly! If you thought that yesterday’s polls were difficult to call, today is a blinder. Death bestows both of today’s polls, so get your tissues out.
Poll 1 sees the monstrous freighter ship going up against some relatively small prop items (by size comparison). We only saw it once, but will the emotion that comes with Jin’s tombstone be enough to pull it through? Or will the mythology of the fail safe key, the fake eye and the giant question mark deny it? And what of the Red Sox tape? Did the beatdown by Charles Widmore tug at your evil strings?
Poll 2 brings more death in the form of Nadia’s coffin. It also brings us last year’s 4th place finalist, Eko’s Jesus Stick. But beware, for there is a danger lurking close by. A shark. A Dharma shark no less. Luckily we have a raft at hand to save us. How will the flight manifest and conference stage fair? Time to vote.
Leave your comments.
Please note: Round 1 polls are multiple choice, meaning that you may vote for more than one prop in each poll. In some cases, however, it may be wise to place just 1 or 2 votes, as not to gimp your true favourites. Additionally, two props will proceed from each Round 1 poll.

Sarah Palin Does SNL - Watch Video
Alaskan governor and VP presidential candidate Sarah Palin made history Saturday night.
She made a special guest appearance on the long running hit sketch comedy show "Saturday Night Live" on October 18.
In what can only be a result of the recent Tina Fey impersonations, and continual campaign gaffs, Palin took the opportunity to lampoon her shortcomings, and show the country she has a sense of humor.
Joined by Fey and Alec Baldwin, the two lampooned a Palin press conference. But SNL really missed an opportunity here, we thought the skit was somewhat lame and still think they should have done a "30 Rock" parody with Palin playing Fey's role - especially since they had Alec Baldwin there.
Where is Joe the plumber and Katie Couric when you need them? At least Mark Wahlberg stopped by to set the record straight with Andy Samberg about his "talking to animals" problem.

Ellen DeGeneres Supports Gay Marriage - Donates $100,000
First it was Brad Pitt. Then Steven Spielberg. Then others.
Now it's Ellen DeGeneres' turn to show her support for the defeat of California's proposition 8.
The original gay marriage bill passed earlier this year may be repealed - again banning gay marriage in the state.

According to the a "No on Prop. 8" spokesperson, Ellen's cash will go to fund a media advertising campaign targeted at encouraging those in California to vote NO on the ballot initiative, which looks to define marriage in the California Constitution as "A union between a man and a woman".
Ellen's ad campaign will take her public plea, which she released Tuesday on the "Ellen" web site, to television stations in California where she will try to convince people to vote down the proposition.
Ellen married her long time lesbian partner Portia de Rossi earlier this year just months after California began allowing same sex marriage. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson have vowed to tie the knot by Christmas.

While the "No on Prop. 8" staff would not provide details about the dollar amount Ellen donated, a spokesman for GLAAD said she gave $100,000, the same amount as Brad Pitt who was the first Hollywood celebrity to contribute.

Steven Spielberg and his wife, Kate Capshaw, also gave $100,000. Pete Wentz and the rock band "Fall Out Boy" has donated $50,000, as did T.R. Knight.

Tina Fey Talks Sarah Palin With David Letterman - Video
Tina Fey tells David Letterman that this whole Sarah Palin thing "Is the strangest thing that ever happened to me".
Fey told Dave how the Palin impersonation came about and how she ended up on Saturday Night Live. "You drop the G's and use a lot of R's and add a little Reese Witherspoon. Fey says Palin got "Lost in the corn maze…" during the Katie Couric interview.

Fey does not believe that her skits are helping or hurting the election process, but that some people think it is a bit racist. Tina also shared with Letterman that it was Palin who contacted SNL in an attempt to book a guest appearance. That show is scheduled to air tonight.
Tina Falin, the new nickname given to Fey by friends, has also just started her new season on "30 Rock". She has announced an all-star group of friends and celebrities she has booked for the new season including Oprah and Steve Martin.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 1, matches 5 & 6
Welcome to the third day of the 'Iconic Prop Cup 2008'. Congrats go to yesterday's winners, Daniel's Journal, Charlie's Greatest Hits, the Newspaper Obituary, and Danielle's Map. Now on with the show...
Alpert. Ben. Daniel. Desmond. Jack. Michael. Charlie. Widmore. Jin. Today’s polls see these major-league characters taking time out of their busy schedules to come represent their respective props. Exciting! So, let us commence with the Character Cup. I mean, err...
Poll 1 sees a bunch of interesting items competing for a Round 2 place. What was the significance of Alpert’s test items? Is the submarine still in one piece? Just how many passports does Ben actually have? What if Daniel’s payload rocket had speared him? Does Desmond’s photo still have the “Aww” factor? And what ever happened to Jack’s key necklace?
Poll 2 is a mixed bag if ever I saw one. I think you would be hard pressed to find any connections between these props. Which would you like to see proceed through to the next round? Vote now!
Please note: Round 1 polls are multiple choice, meaning that you may vote for more than one prop in each poll. In some cases, however, it may be wise to place just 1 or 2 votes, as not to gimp your true favourites. Additionally, two props will proceed from each Round 1 poll.

Zac Efron To Join "Pirates 4" With Johnny Depp
Not only is our young "High School Musical" star turning 21 this weekend, but it has also been announced that Zac Efron will be joining the cast of Johnny Depp's new "Pirates Of The Caribbean 4" movie.
Disney will be paying Efron an estimated $10 million for his role, almost twice as much as he pulled in singing and dancing with his fellow Wildcats.
A source tells us that Depp was not initially interested in another run as Jack Sparrow, and that Disney approached Efron to take over the helm.
After some intense negations, Depp agreed to return for another film for an enormous $55 million paycheck. This may be the highest salary every paid to an actor for a movie role.
But it is not like either one has to worry about losing their job.
Johnny Depp has six projects in the works. The first to hit the big screen will be "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", starring Depp, the late Heath Ledger, Colin Farrell and Jude Law, in a story about a traveling theater company that gives its audience much more than they were expecting.
Depp is currently filming the animated family adventure 'Alice In Wonderland", a live-action and CGI version of the classic "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" story.
For his part, Efron will be seen later this month in the teen hit "High School Musical 3 - Senior Year", where as seniors in high school, Troy and Gabriella struggle with the idea of being separated from one another as college approaches. Along with the rest of the Wildcats, they stage a spring musical to address their experiences, hopes and fears about their future.

Zac has also just complete work on the comedy "17 Again", due next April and starring Efron and Matthew Perry, about a guy whose life does not quite turn out the way he wanted, and wishes he could go back to high school and change it. He wakes up one day and is seventeen again and gets the chance to rewrite his life.

Sarah Palin Confirmed For Saturday Night Live Appearance This Weekend
It's official.
Alaskan governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will make a guest appearance on this week's "Saturday Night Live" - the sketch show helmed by Lorne Michaels that has been featuring a parody of the governor by former cast member Tina Fey.

Palin will appear this Saturday night along with host Josh Brolin, who plays President George Bush in Oliver Stone's new movie, "W."
With less then 20 days left in the campaign, it has been rumored that Palin would make an appearance on either the Saturday night, or Thursday night mini version of the show. Some speculate that Palin will impersonate Tina Fey and her character from the smash hit sitcom "30 Rock", and that long time SNL veteran host Alec Baldwin will make a cameo.

Fey has been pulling double duty this last month with her work on "30 Rock", as well as visiting her old stomping grounds to impersonate Palin on SNL. On top of that, Fey is also writing a new musical comedy film titled "Curly Oxide and Vic Thrill", due in theaters next year, about an eccentric punk-rocker who forms a band with a unruly young Hasidic Jew.
On top of that she has just finished work on the Rickey Gervais comedy "This Side Of Truth", with Fey, Gervais, Jonah Hill, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Patrick Stewart, Rob Lowe and Jeffrey Tambor - a comedy set in a world where no one has ever lied, until a writer seizes the opportunity for personal gain.
And just in case she needs work next year, Fey is rumored to be starring alongside Robert Downey Jr. in the animated family movie "Master Mind", a satirical take on superhero movies in which a notorious villain loses his vigor after he accidentally kills his nemesis.

McCain And Obama Joke at Alfred E. Smith Dinner - Video
John McCain and Barack Obama traded jokes last night at the Al Smith white tie memorial dinner. It was a breath of fresh air to actually hear the two presidential candidates breath a little humor into the campaign.
Both McCain and Obama did a comedic monolog that was actually funny.
These are must see videos with deep inside humor and sharp jabs, at not only each other, but also the Clintons, Joe the plumber, MSNBC, and Keith Olbermann among others.

John McCain Returns To David Letterman Show "I Screwed Up" - Video
After canceling an earlier appearance, Senator John McCain finally visited the David Letterman show Thursday night.
At times it was uncomfortable.
David wondered if McCain cancelled because the host was not important enough and asked, "What Happened?" McCain replied, "I screwed up".
After a drilling on why McCain cancelled his last appearance, the two had a discussion about comments made on the campaign trail. The big topic was William Ayres and G. Gordon Liddy. It seems that McCain is pals with Gordon Liddy and has attended a fundraiser hosted by the Watergate felon, and Letterman drilled him about it.
Letterman did a great job of trying to ask McCain about accusations hurled at Barack Obama, but the presidential hopeful sidestepped most of the innuendo.
You be the judge after watching the video.

Iconic Prop Cup 2008 - Round 1, Matches 3 & 4
Welcome to this, the second day of the ‘Iconic Prop Cup 2008’. Firstly a congratulations to the Swan Station Clock Timer, the Hieroglyphic Door, Radzinsky's Blast Door Map, and the Circle of Ash. They all proceed through to Round 2 of the Prop Cup. Commiserations to ‘Charlie’s Driveshaft Ring’, in our first major upset of the competition.
There is not much in the way of island mythology today, but there are plenty of fan favourites and a whole lot of props which gave us some of our most memorable ‘WTF’ moments.
Poll 1 gives us fan favourite Charlie’s Greatest hits, as well as Daniel’s Journal. Kate’s Mug Shot caused a stir, as did Tom’s fake beard. Could the fake flight recorder cause an upset today? Do the gasmasks stand a chance?
Perhaps our most difficult poll to call thus far in the competition, Poll 2 brings us a little bit of everything. On-Island, Off-Island, mythology, sentimentality. Which of these props do you feel deserves to proceed through to round 2? Get voting!
Please note: Round 1 polls are multiple choice, meaning that you may vote for more than one prop in each poll. In some cases, however, it may be wise to place just 1 or 2 votes, as not to gimp your true favourites. Additionally, two props will proceed from each Round 1 poll.
