SNL’s Jason Sudeikis Talks Trash about Justin Bieber’s Basketball Skills – Video

We all love Jason Sudeikis.

He is one of the funniest members of the Saturday Night Live cast, and has also done well with his movies.

But last night, Jason visited with Jimmy Kimmel to promote his upcoming movie “Horrible Bosses” – and the conversation quickly turned to Justin Bieber.

Remember last February when Bieber walked away with the MVP Award at the Celebrity NBA All-Star Game?

Well, so does Jimmy and Jason.

Related: Bieber walks away with NBA All-Star MVP

They both reminisce about that evening and Sudeikis talks a little trash about Justin and his basketball skills, and says Bieber won the MVP only so they wouldn’t get trampled by angry 14-year-old girls.

We know it was all said in good fun and that’s why we love these guys.

Sedeikis will be hosting the MTV Movie Awards this weekend and Bieber has been nominated for his 3D movie “Never Say Never”.

Jason’s new movie “Horrible Bosses” is coming out and sounds like it will be hilarious. It’s about three friends who collaborate to murder their awful bosses when they realize they are standing in the way of their happiness.

The flick has an impressive cast including Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, and Kevin Spacey.

We can’t wait to see this one.

Video – Justin Timberlake Slams Justin Bieber in Unaired SNL Skit

We all laughed at Justin Timberlake and Adam Samberg last week on Saturday Night Live.

But there was one sketch that never saw the light of day.

During a dress rehearsal for a “Mozart” sketch, in front of an audience of 300, Timberlake took a few shots at teen sensation Justin Bieber.

The plot of the skit was that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was going to take a break from his music career to become an actor. His friends scoffed at the idea asking,

“You’re nor one of those musicians who think they can act are you?”

After mentioning that he had already been in a movie about a “Social Network” and appeared on the “Austrian Mouse Club”, his friends told him they would rather go to work for “Wolfgang Amadeus Bieber”.

At this point, Timberlake says,

“Amadeus Bieber? You might as well put a wig on a chipmunk and tell him to act like a black man.”

The audience erupted in laughs.

The jabs seem to be aimed at Bieber’s guest role on the popular “CSI” crime show where the singer was ultimately gunned down, and his concert movie “Never Say Never” that Justin said would not be a concert movie….. but was.

But we think Bieber could have taken the jabs, as he himself has hosted and performed on the show several times.

We suspect the skit was pulled at the last minute in order to stop the media outcry for using the word “black man”.

Hollywood can be a fickle place.

SNL Digital Short with Michael Bolton as Captain Jack Sparrow – Video

Saturday Night Live returned from vacation last night with host Tina Fey.

While most of the sketches were not the funniest we’ve ever seen, one stood out as hilarious.

Michael Bolton made a special guest appearance in Adam Samberg’s SNL Digital Short where the group was working on a music video with Bolton.

After arriving late to the shoot because he was busy watching a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon, Bolton told the guys he had a great idea for their music video.

In true Jack Sparrow form, Bolton spun a web of “Pirates” parody throughout.

Saturday Night Live Returns with Bin Laden and Tina Fey Doing Sarah Palin – Video

SNL returned last night with its first new show of the season, and it was … just okay.

You just knew that with the death of Osama Bin Laden, and the blabbering mouth of Donald Trump in the news, that there would be some golden nuggets of comedy.

But there really wasn’t.

A pregnant Tina Fey hosted with musical guest Ellie Goulding, and things got off to a mild start with a cold open parody of Osama Bin Laden reading his last will and testament.

Watch Osama Bin Laden Read his Will on SNL

The best part of the evening was Tina Fey’s return as Sarah Palin during a sketch about the 2012 Undeclared Candidates GOP Debate. Palin appreciated FOX News hosting the debate since the both paid her and showed her the all the questions ahead of time.

The debate also featured big mouth and bad haired Donald Trump and was the best sketch of the night.

Watch Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin and Donald Trump on SNL Debate

I have to say, Saturday Night Live has really lost their edge over the last ten years. They seem to get so close to greatness but always fall flat.

Between the death of Osama Bin Laden and Donald Trump running his mouth, there were so many fantastic opportunities for some great cutting edge comedy that 90 minutes should not have been enough time to cover it all.

Take the Osama reading his will sketch – writers really had time to make it epic but it just never pulled the laughs. It’s almost like if they get the set, costume, and impersonation down then whatever they say is funny.

And then there was the musical guest Ellie Goulding. She covered Elton Johns “Your Song” and was quite uninspiring. Maybe it’s her voice or the fact that she stood perfectly still during her performances.

If this was American Idol, Ellie Goulding never would have made it through the initial screening. She was bad.

Saturday Night Live has fallen flat and last night was no exception. So many great possibilities but so many lame jokes and sketched.

Weekend Update used to be parody about the week’s top news, but today it’s just a chance to profile weird characters that have nothing to do with the day’s current events. Loose the characters and get back to your roots of spoofing the news.

Sorry Lorne Michaels, but I’m glad I have a DVR.

But maybe I have just fallen out of the shows demographic. I like saying that rather then I’m getting old.

Miley Cyrus Does Justin Bieber on SNL – Video

Saturday Night Live scored big last night with guest host Miley Cyrus, in what may go down as one of best shows of the year.

After a good opening monologue where Cyrus belted out a song about how she hit the bong and wasn’t perfect, she partnered with SNL cast member Vanessa Bayer for the “Miley Cyrus Show”.

Bayer did a spot-on impression of Miley, and welcomed her first guest – Justin Bieber, played by Cyrus. It was great.

Miley, as Justin Bieber, parodied Bieber’s hair flip, wink, swag, dress, and finger pointing routines. Cyrus also tells Bieber that she had smoked salvia and he (she) says there isn’t anything wrong with it because it’s legal.

Video - Ben Affleck Does Keith Olbermann On SNL

Ben Affleck visited his friends at Saturday Night Live last night, and in addition to a killer open with John McCain and Tina Fey as Sarah Palin, managed to pull of a great Keith Olbermann skit.

Related: John McCain And Tina Fey On SNL - Video

Affleck lambasted current president George Bush for being a racist and bigot, and did a spoof of Olbermann's "Worst Person In The World" segment.

In his "Special Comment" section, Affleck goes after the coop manager of his apartment complex, after he is evicted for having a pet in a no pet apartment.

The result was controversial, with the host going off on Japanese internment camps, equal rights, justice, and fairness.

It was uncomfortable.

Video - John McCain Does SNL - Nails It

John McCain visited the set of Saturday Night Live last night for a last ditch effort to connect with voters.

Now famous Tina Fey, acting as Alaskan governor Sarah Palin, joined the candidate in one of the funniest opening skits ever.

The sketch, a jab at the thirty-minute infomercial Barack Obama purchased last week, was intended to give the candidates some final remarks on the campaign. Unfortunately, the only airtime they could afford was on the QVC shopping network.

While the two gave their final wisdom, they also hawked Joe the plumber dolls, and Obama town hall commemorative plates - that were blank. The best product was a set of "Pork Knives" guaranteed to cut the pork from anything.

There was also a cameo by McCain's wife Cindy, who introduced expensive QVC jewelry. Sarah Palin (Tina Fey) also went rouge when she tried to sell Palin In 2012 shirts.

Also, on the Weekend Update section, McCain explained his last ditch efforts and "Radical Ideas" he may use if things don't go his way.

Later in the show, Affleck mocked Keith Olbermann in a controversial segment that drew grasps from the audience.

SNL Thursday - Will Ferrell And Tina Fey - Video

Well, they did it again.

Lorne Michaels and the gang at Saturday Night Live once again put together a Thursday Night mini-version that nailed it.

The opening sketch included a visit from our friend Tina Fey as Sarah Palin, and a surprise visit by ex SNL veteran Will Ferrell as George W. Bush.

The president used a prime time television appearance to publicly give the republican presidential ticket his person endorsement. It was a classic, and good to see Ferrell back in the role of Bush.

The weekend update portion once again featured financial consultant Oscar Rodgers giving his now famous advice on the worldwide financial crisis - FIX IT! And Fred Armisen had fun playing with his new mega pixel touch screen election map.

After last Saturdays disappointing showing it was good to see things back on track. However, the Adam Samberg digital short - while funny, grew old after the fifth time he threw up on a stranger. Puke and comedy can only go so far together.

Mark Wahlberg Confronts Andy Samberg On SNL - Video

Mark Wahlberg visited the set of Saturday Night Live last night to settle the score with Andy Samberg. Last week, Samberg made fun of Wahlberg in a sketch called "Mark Wahlberg Talks With Animals".

Last night, Mark confronted Samberg backstage to settle the score.

The show was hosted by Josh Brolin who is currently appearing in the Oliver Stone film "W". Tina Fey joined to lampoon Alaskan Governor and Vice President candidate Sarah Palin, and Alec Baldwin made a special guest appearance to kick things off.

You have to believe that Lorne Michaels is loving this last few weeks, as Fey had left the show last year to focus on her own television show "30 Rock". It's nice to see her visit her old stomping grounds to help a guy out when he needs it.

Sarah Palin Does SNL - Watch Video

Alaskan governor and VP presidential candidate Sarah Palin made history Saturday night.

She made a special guest appearance on the long running hit sketch comedy show "Saturday Night Live" on October 18.

In what can only be a result of the recent Tina Fey impersonations, and continual campaign gaffs, Palin took the opportunity to lampoon her shortcomings, and show the country she has a sense of humor.

Joined by Fey and Alec Baldwin, the two lampooned a Palin press conference. But SNL really missed an opportunity here, we thought the skit was somewhat lame and still think they should have done a "30 Rock" parody with Palin playing Fey's role - especially since they had Alec Baldwin there.

Where is Joe the plumber and Katie Couric when you need them? At least Mark Wahlberg stopped by to set the record straight with Andy Samberg about his "talking to animals" problem.

Tina Fey Talks Sarah Palin With David Letterman - Video

Tina Fey tells David Letterman that this whole Sarah Palin thing "Is the strangest thing that ever happened to me".

Fey told Dave how the Palin impersonation came about and how she ended up on Saturday Night Live. "You drop the G's and use a lot of R's and add a little Reese Witherspoon. Fey says Palin got "Lost in the corn maze…" during the Katie Couric interview.

Fey does not believe that her skits are helping or hurting the election process, but that some people think it is a bit racist. Tina also shared with Letterman that it was Palin who contacted SNL in an attempt to book a guest appearance. That show is scheduled to air tonight.

Tina Falin, the new nickname given to Fey by friends, has also just started her new season on "30 Rock". She has announced an all-star group of friends and celebrities she has booked for the new season including Oprah and Steve Martin.

SNL Thursday Night Live Debates "Joe The Plumber" - Video

SNL nailed it again with their Thursday Night Live mini-episode. And we learned more about the infamous "Joe the plumber" than we ever wanted to know.

Following SNL tradition, the show started with a skit about the third Presidential debate between John McCain and Barack Obama. Most of the debate however, revolved around the much talked about "Joe the plumber", and his magical plunger - a reference to a citizen Obama talked about at a rally speech last week.

When asked about their cabinet staff appointments, McCain mentioned he would start an executive level office of plumbing and hire, you guessed it - Joe the plumber.

The weekend update section featured a new sketch called "We Liked It", where Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler talked about the good aspects of the debate. There was also a visit from the McCain rally crazy lady, Jessie Jackson and a spoof about McCain running advertisement inside MRI machines.

But no Tina Fey? No Sarah Palin?

The show was another winner, but leaves little time for the much anticipated guest appearance of real life Sarah Palin. It is rumored we will see her this Saturday.

Sarah Palin To Appear On Saturday Night Live - Confirmed!

Now that Tina Fey has jump-started the SNL fury with her impersonation of Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, it seems natural the Palin would want to return the favor by making an appearance. Right?

The rumor mill is running wild with speculation that Palin will make a guest appearance either on the normal Saturday night version, or one of the Thursday Night Live mini-episodes.

Both Lorne Michaels and Seth Meyers have confirmed that Tina Fey will again return in a guest role to parody the Presidential VP hopeful, and both hint that Palin is all but booked.

Lorne Michaels told reporters, "All in good time, there are three more live shows left before the election. Saturday's is a rerun."

But now news is leaking out that a deal has already been made, and the scripts are being written as we speak. We don't mean Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin, we mean Palin doing Palin. Or maybe Palin doing Tina Fey? Now there is an idea…

Sources close to the show say Sarah will be seen on "SNL" Saturday night, October 25, and that dress rehearsal time has already been scheduled for Friday the 24th. We can't wait.

Tina Fey left SNL two tears ago to create, write and star in the hit NBC series "30 Rock" with Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin. Since then, her celebrity status has shot through the roof, making her Palin parodies even more tantalizing.

In fact, NBC just announced an A-list group of celebs that will be guest appearing with Fey when "30 Rock" begins its new season later this month.

SNL Thursday Night Live - Nails It - Recap and Videos

They did it. And they may be on to something.

Saturday Night Life introduced their first Thursday Night Live half hour prime time show with a political spoof of the presidential debate.

And they nailed it. The skit welcomed back Chris Parnell as Tom Brokaw playing the moderator.

SNL is really getting good at this, and there was even a cameo by SNL alum Bill Murray during the Obama and McCain debate skit.

We missed not seeing Tina Fey as Sarah Palin but suspect she will return again - head writer Seth Myers admitted in an interview about the new Thursday format that Fey would likely return.

The remaining segment included an expanded version of the popular SNL Weekend Update with Seth Myers and Amy Poehler. The highlight was the "Really?" skit.

It highlighted much of the absurd events of the last week, and took a particularly hard jab at the insurance company AIG, who just spent hundreds of thousands of dollars at a spa immediately following their government bailout.

We think by taking out the musical guest, and reducing the number of "not so funny" skits, and focusing on the issues in the news, Lorne Michaels and his group at Saturday Night Live have a smash hit on their hands.

Seth Meyers Talks New Thursday Version Of Saturday Night Live

Lorne Michaels, and the staff of Saturday Night Live are trying something new - a Thursday night version of the popular Saturday Night Live sketch comedy show.

Beginning this Thursday, "Saturday Night Live" will be seen in prime time for the next three weeks in the form of 30-minute mini-episodes of "SNL Thursday Night Live". The shows are scheduled to run through the presidential election, in addition to the regular Saturday night "SNL" shows.

The Thursday show will showcase an opening political sketch and the popular "Weekend Update" segment - no musical guest. So does that mean we will see more of Tina Fey as Sarah Palin?

Related Videos: Tina Fey Does Sarah Palin On SNL - Videos

Seth Meyers, SNL's head writer and "Weekend Update" anchor, told reporters that Fey would probably be back to play vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin at least one more time.

"If Sarah Palin does something to get in the news, which she's been very consistent on doing so far, I think we'll see Tina as well".

Meyers also said Palin had been invited on the show for a sketch to make fun of Fey. The rumor mill is in overdrive, and we suspect Palin will indeed drop by for a much-needed shot in the arm, and to take a jab at her alter ego.

Since "SNL" brought back Tina Fey for guest appearances, the shows ratings have skyrocketed. The executives must believe they can capture a prime time audience during the last 30 days of the election cycle, otherwise they would not have picked Thursdays powerhouse "Survivor" as a target to compete against.

We think they can pull it off and that people will love it. It's just what we need about now.

In addition to her "30 Rock" and new found "SNL" work, Tina Fey has just wrapped production on the comedy "This Side Of Truth" - a comedy set in a world where no one has ever lied, until a writer seizes the opportunity for personal gain.

The film is bound to be a smash hit due to its all-star cast of celebrities including Jonah Hill, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Ricky Gervais, Rob Lowe, Patrick Stewart and Jeffrey Tambor. Both written and direct by Ricky Gervais, no release date has been confirmed and a trailer is not yet available.

For now, Seth Meyers continues his duties on SNL, but has just announced he is writing and starring in the comedy "Key Party" - where as a way to improve their love life, a couple decides to attend a key party which provides disastrous results for their marriage. Watch for it next year.

The SNL cast will also take a big hit next month when Amy Poehler leaves the show. Poehler is due to have a baby in November and has said she will not be returning to the show after her leave.

Saturday Night Live Spoofs Presidential Debate - Video

Saturday Night Live was on fire last night. If not for their opening skit with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as Sarah Palin and Katie Couric, then for the spoof of the Presidential debate last week.

When asked about the War in Iraq, Hammond as McCain said that he had wanted the troop surge since 1985, before the war even started.

And when criticized by Obama (Fred Armisen) that he had supported George Bush 95% of the time, Hammond responded that he had never supported President Bush, had always undermined him, abandoned his party, and was disloyal and untrustworthy to the office.

When asked how he would deal with nuclear weapons in North Korea, Obama (Armisen) said he would play the race card with North Korea.

The best part of the skit was the ending, when the camera panned to Amy Poehler as Hilary Clinton, who had shown up just in case McCain didn't make it on time.
