Introduction
It's a week late, but hopefully the wait has been worth it. Here is your Week 8 Fantasy Update, complete with a new points leader! It seems like the last few weeks have had someone new taking the top slot each time, but Week 8 sees a familiar name reclaiming the lead.

"Meet Kevin Johnson" was another weaker performing episode, as far as points are concerned. Be sure to check out all the information below to get the full explanation behind some of the scoring decisions for this week. We're now in the midst of a Mini-Hiatus, but there's no need for you to despair! There will be plenty theorizing and general conversation here at DarkUFO's site. We'll also be posting a few surveys and polls regarding potential changes for the Season 5 Fantasy League. Be sure to chime in on the conversation and make your voice heard! With no new episodes to discuss for another few weeks, we'll be busy little beavers getting feedback from you, the present and future contestants of the Lost Fantasy League.

Be sure to check it out- your input just may influence the shape and scope of the Season 5 LFL.

There were a few tough decisions to make with this episode and, in the end, I decided it was best to err on the side of caution. As always, these rulings can be reversed if canonical information occurs this season that shows our initial ruling(s) were incorrect.

1) Alex and Karl get points for visiting the Barracks, a DHARMA location. Up to now, we had not seen them at the Barracks, so they had never received points for going there. Rousseau had already been seen there in a prior episode, so she did not grab these points.

2) Michael's suicide attempt counts for a 15 point deduction. He not only gets hurt, but he injures someone (in this case, himself). None of Michael's other suicide attempts count for deductions, because none of his other suicide attempts resulted in him getting injured.

3) Both of Michael's visions of Libby count as Island Visions. The second appearance of Libby is very clearly an Island Vision. I doubt anyone would dispute that. The tricky part was ruling on her first appearance. It could very well be that Michael is just tormented by his memories of killing Libby that she appeared in his dream, but the fact that Island Visions have come to Losties in their dreams before led me to err on the side of caution and count it as an Island Vision.

4) Before Libby's second appearance, Michael hears the Whispers. It was very quick and just after the ghostly clip of music played. Boy that Mama Cass sure gets around!

5) Michael's flashback is considered an Off-Island FB. While the events of his flashback take place after he came to the Island, all of his actions and experiences take place off the Island. Even though we saw a clip of Ben on the Island, it is not a Montage FB. The shot of Ben was to show his side of the conversation. Had Michael been on the Island, it would be different.

6) For now, we are considering Rousseau to be injured, but Karl to be dead. Rousseau seemed to confirm that he was dead before she got shot herself. The jury is still out on Rousseau, but we feel that she is more likely to still be alive. The absence of the exit wound makes me think her injury isn't a lethal one (at least not immediately). We'll have to wait and see what happens after the Mini-Hiatus to see what kind of confirmation we get either way on this matter.
