Prop Cup 2009 - Round 1, Matches 1 & 2

Welcome to the first day of many to come, in the Prop Cup of 2009! You know the drill by now - Every day, you will get to vote via poll for which LOST props you think deserve the most recognition. As the weeks roll on, the prop list will shorten until we are left with only a handful of popular LOST props, but there can only be one winner!

The final prop list for this year's competition consists of 144 props in total. A big thank you to everyone that helped with the list via the forum. We have a good mix of new and old, little and large, important and slapstick - Variety is the spice of life. All of the polls were randomly drawn using a spreadsheet.

With all of that being said, let us commence with the fun stuff, and there is nothing quite like kicking things off with some big-hitters! As always, feel free to comment via the blog, and you can also partake in a more in-depth discussion via the forum - Prop Cup 2009 Discussion Thread

Match 1: Today's first poll brings us last year's runner-up, and 2007's Prop Cup winner, Radzinsky's Blast Door Map. Does the blast door map still have what it takes, or has the emergence of the hard-hearted Radzinsky dampened its chances? It faces competition in the form of the much loved Dharma Van and perhaps Season 5's most talked about piece (and home to Jacob), the Four Toed Statue. Heading up the rear, and perhaps not to be underestimated, are Sawyer's flower (Aww), Richard's medical kit, and Frank's rather elegant pilot's uniform.

Match 2: Our second poll today offers up some difficult choices. The New Recruits Photograph was a big talking point in Season 5, and helped to bridge the gap between future and past. Speaking of the past, is Eloise's rifle tragic enough to inspire votes? Do you find yourself warming to Richard's Flaming Torch, or will the magnitude and importance of the System Failure Print-Out, Ancient Hieroglyphic Door and Nigerian Plane win the day?

Get voting!

Please note: Round 1 polls are multiple choice, meaning that you may vote for more than one prop in each poll. Two props will proceed from each Round 1 poll.
