Well Round 1 is at an end and yesterday saw some of the closest voting yet as you can see below. We have Jacobs Chair and the Black & White stones progressing from Poll 2, whilst Desmond's Book and Ben's Bunny will be going through from Poll 1.

Today sees the start of Round 2 which will follow a similar format as Round 1. There will be 2 polls a days, each with 4 choices, with the top 2 from each advancing into the Qtr-Finals.

Eko's Stick – After killing two ‘Others’ during a kidnap attempt, Eko was overcome by a feeling of guilt. Eko remained silent for 40 days thereafter. During that time, Eko began to carve biblical passages onto a stick, which he referred to as "things he needs to remember". In Season 3, during Eko’s funeral, John Locke placed Eko's stick at the head of Eko’s grave. The inscription "Lift up your eyes and look north - John 3:05" provided Locke with a sudden burst of inspiration, and lead John on another adventurous trek.
Sawyer's Letter – When Kate challenged Sawyer about the letter he so often read, Sawyer made Kate read the letter aloud. It was addressed to ‘Mr. Sawyer’. The author of the letter writes that Sawyer slept with his mother and stole his father’s money, causing the father to murder his mother and then kill himself. The author writes that someday he’ll find Sawyer and give him the letter. In an unforeseen twist, we later find out that the author of the letter was in fact Sawyer himself, who adopted the name of the man who conned his parents. In Season 3 of Lost, Sawyer finally did get his revenge of the man who conned, and essentially killed his parents. That man was none other than John Locke’s conman father Anthony Cooper.
Charlie's Greatest Hits List – During a conversation between Charlie and Desmond on a boat, just moments before Charlie takes his final plunge, Desmond asked Charlie what it was he was writing. Charlie revealed that he had been listing his happiest moments; his "greatest hits". His “greatest hits” consisted of hearing his song on the radio for the first time, his father teaching him how to swim, receiving his Driveshaft (Dexter Stratton) ring, saving a stranger in an alleyway, but most importantly meeting Claire. Charlie asked Desmond to give the list to Claire, knowing that he would never see her again.
Photograph of Desmond and Penny – Desmond first broke up with Penny when he was unable to pay for the photograph. He felt like a failure, unable to financially support the love of his life. In an attempt to prove himself to Penny and her father (Charles Widmore), Desmond joined the Royal Scots Regiment of the British Army, only later to be dishonorably discharged. The photograph of Desmond and Penny has made many appearances throughout the show, most notably in a recent episode where the photograph was found amongst Naomi’s belongings.
Walt's comic – We first saw the comic being read by Hurley on Oceanic flight 815. However, after the crash, Walt adopted the comic as his own. The comic featured images of science labs, aliens and polar bears. In a later episode, Michael burned Walt's comic book as a punishment. Walt went missing soon after and Michael was forced to assume that Walt was with Locke again. After confronting Locke, Michael learned that Walt had run away. The two headed into the jungle to search for him, and eventually found him trapped by a polar bear. Michael rescued Walt, with the help of Locke, and all three returned to the beach safely.
Locke's knives – Four days after the crash of Oceanic flight 815, the survivors discovered that their food supply was exhausted. Locke revealed the many hunting knives that he possessed, and he suggested they should hunt wild boar within the jungle. Locke later took Walt on as somewhat of a young apprentice, teaching the young boy to throw knives with almost pin-point accuracy. More recently, at the end of Season 3, we saw Locke plant one of his hunting knives into the spine of the mysterious Naomi.
Swan Station Orientation Film – We were first introduced to ‘Marvin Candle’ (aka ‘Mark Wickmund’, aka ‘Edgar Halowax’) during the orientation film. According to the Swan station's orientation film, an "incident" occurred early in the station's experiments. This event caused a consistent build-up of electromagnetic energy, which resulted in a change of the station's focus: a two-member crew, replaced every 540 days, were since instructed to enter a numeric code into a microcomputer terminal every 108 minutes. For reasons still unknown to us, a part of the orientation film was spliced, hidden within a book, and taken to an abandoned station on the opposite side of the island.
Radzinsky's Blast Door Map – After the apparent suicide of Radzinsky, his station partner, Kelvin, took up the job of continuing Radzinsky’s work; not only as a button presser, but also as an artist or sorts. Radzinsky’s blast door map detailed the layout and workings of several Dharma stations scattered around the island. The map, invisible to the naked eye, could only be seen under blacklight. Locke later happened upon the map, after an incident involving a near catastrophe with the station countdown timer. Locke memorized the blast door map and used his new knowledge to track down the Pearl station.
Dharma Van – This blue Volkswagen Dharma van was to be the final resting place of Roger Linus, father to Benjamin Linus. Tragically, it was Benjamin himself who took his father’s life, by releasing a highly lethal nerve gas into the van. Many years later the van was happened upon by Hurley. With the help of Jin, Sawyer and Charlie, Hurley was able to fix the van and get it running again. The four of them made a new friend in Roger’s skeleton, nicknaming him ‘Skeletor’. They also found a hefty supply of Dharma brand beer onboard, which they quickly devoured between themselves. More recently, Hurley saved his friends by using the van to create a diversion at the beach camp. Pryce, a ranking 'Other', was unfortunate enough to get beneath the wheels of the Volkswagen.
Swan Station Computer – The Swan station was equipped with a split-flap display timer, which was interfaced to a microcomputer terminal and connected to an alarm system. Due to an "incident" that occurred during the early stages of the Swan station's experiments, a consistent build-up of electromagnetic energy resulted and as a result of that the station’s focus was forced to change. A numeric code (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42) had to be entered into the microcomputer terminal every 108 minutes or the electromagnetic energy would build-up to dangerous and uncontrollable levels. Some believe that failure to enter the numbers would have resulted in the end of the world. Thankfully this never came to pass, thanks to the selfless actions of Desmond who was close at hand to turn the failsafe key and save the day.
Mikhail's Eye Patch – You would think that getting pushed through a lethal sonar fence and then getting shot through the chest with a harpoon would be enough to kill a man, but no. It took a close range grenade blast to finally finish off the indestructible Russian. We first caught a glimpse of Mikhail’s eye patch on a monitor display, deep within the Pearl Station. The eye patch was cause for much speculation from fans, and rightfully so; it looked badass. The eye patch became iconic of Mikhail’s character, so much so that even to this day some fans refer to him as “Patchy”. We still do not know how Mikhail came to lose his right eye.
Hurley's Lottery Ticket – From the very moment that Hurley won the “Mega Lotto Jackpot”, everybody around him seemed to suffer increasingly bad luck. Hurley’s grandfather suffered a fatal heart attack, his brother's wife walked out, his mother broke her ankle, and Hurley himself was falsely arrested. It was revealed that the numbers which Hurley used in the lottery were obtained from a man called Leonard “Lenny” Sims, a patient at a mental asylum. When Hurley told Lenny about the numbers being played on the lottery, Lenny exclaimed: "The numbers are bad! You gotta get away from them!”. Since the crash of Oceanic flight 815, it has come to light that the very same numbers (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42) play a very big role on the island. The numbers have appeared on the swan station hatch, as a part of the computer system, on Dharma vaccines, and in Danielle’s notes.
Dharma Vaccine – The mysterious Rx-1 vaccine was provided via Dharma food drops and was taken regularly by Kelvin and Desmond in the Swan Station. That very same vaccine was administered to Claire by Ethan after her kidnapping. It is not known whether or not Kelvin and Ethan were deceiving Desmond and Claire about the necessity of the injections. The Rx-1 vaccine still remains a mystery to Losties and Lost fans alike. Those known to have been injected with the Rx-1 vaccine include Desmond, Claire, Aaron and Charlie.
Shannon's Bikini – Upon landing on the island, Shannon behaved selfishly by keeping people at arm's length. While other survivors helped to collect food and build shelters, Shannon could usually be found lapping up the sun on the beach, wearing just a bikini. It was only during an argument with Boone that Shannon decided to join Sayid on a hike to transmit a distress signal. Thereafter we never saw her in a bikini set again. Sigh.
Apollo Bar – Apollo bars are a part of the Lost mythology; they were yummy scrummy chocolate bars provided by Dharma to various stations around the island. Apollo bars date back at least 40 years; we know this because an Apollo bar was offered to Ben by Annie, just moments after he first arrived on the island. At the start of Season 2, Kate was locked away by Desmond in a storage room deep within the Swan station. There Kate stumbled upon a box on Apollo bars. She ate one and pocketed several others, a testament to how much women love chocolate perhaps. Or maybe she was just starving…
Flight Manifest – When Boone told Hurley that Sawyer had the Oceanic flight 815 manifest, Hurley took it upon himself to take a survivor census. Sawyer, quite surprisingly, gave the manifest to Hurley without any objection; perhaps the first real sign that Sawyer actually respected Hurley more than he did the other survivors. Later, Hurley revealed to Jack that one of the survivors was not listed on the flight manifest; that person was ‘Ethan Rom’, and so began one of the most terrifying stories Lost has had to offer.
Michael's Raft – When Michael first started building a raft as a means of escape from the island, the last thing he expected was for a fellow survivor to sabotage his efforts. Michael watched on helplessly one night as his first raft burned down to the ground. He immediately turned his sights towards finding Jin, holding Jin responsible. When Sawyer brought Jin to the beach, Michael started beating the Korean, stopping only when Sun yelled at Michael to “Stop!”. After Sun's revelation, Jin helped Michael to build a second raft. Upon completion of the second raft, Michael, Walt, Jin and Sawyer all set sail towards freedom, and in Sawyer’s case ‘redemption’. Unfortunately, Michael’s raft was attacked out at sea by the ‘Others’; Walt was kidnapped, and the raft itself was blown to pieces. During the mayhem that ensued, Sawyer took a bullet to his shoulder.
Locke's Wheelchair – The story of John’s Wheelchair all began when his conman father, Anthony Cooper, purposely pushed John from an apartment building window. John fell 8 stories, breaking his back upon landing. Thereafter, John was bound to his wheelchair for the following four years. John’s disability did not deter him in wanting to experience the life of a hunter however, and John signed up to an adventurous ‘Walkabout’ holiday in the Australian outback. However, due to John’s disability, and the fact that he had kept it from the ‘Walkabout’ guides, John was turned away at the very last minute. That day John set in stone the popular quote/phrase: “Don’t tell me what I can’t do!”. Miraculously, following the crash of Oceanic flight 815, John found that he could walk again. Locke has felt a connection with the island ever since and he strives to learn the secrets that the island has to offer.
Charlie's Guitar – Charlie, heroin addict and guitarist for a struggling Brit-rock band called Driveshaft, found himself without his prized guitar in the days and weeks following the crash of Oceanic flight 815. Later, when Charlie was reunited with his guitar, thanks to John Locke, Charlie handed over his heroin stash in exchange. The guitar, and various others, have appeared in many of Charlie’s flashbacks, including one of Desmond's flashbacks.
Jack's Gun Case Key Necklace – After Kate and Sawyer found a mysterious metal case at the bottom of a lagoon, Kate approached Jack and told him that the case contained weapons. It belonged to the U.S. Marshal and the key was apparently buried with him. They dug up the body of the Marshal and Kate was able to find his wallet. Before giving it to Jack, Kate palmed the key, but Jack took a hold of her and demanded the key. Jack fashioned a necklace, upon which he kept the key for safe keeping. Nobody was going to get into the gun case without Jack knowing it. Jack reaffirmed his status as top dog on the island, or at least on ‘that’ side of the island.
Benjamin’s Bunny – Rabbits have played a noticeable roll in lost thus far. From being a title of an episode (“The White Rabbit”), to featuring in one of Sawyer’s many books; “Watership Down”. But the most notable appearances have come in Benjamin Linus’ scenes. Amongst those scenes is the scene where a young Benjamin uses a white rabbit to test the sonar parameter fence. The rabbit didn’t die, so Ben knew that it was safe to pass through. Another scene, and perhaps the most memorable, is when a much older Ben uses a rabbit as a means of conning the conman, Sawyer, into thinking that he has a specially designed pace maker inserted in his chest. That day, Sawyer coined the memorable phrase – “Did you just kill that bunny?!” O_o
Desmond’s ‘Our Mutual Friend’ Book – Upon being released from prison, Desmond was presented with his belongings, one of which was the book ‘Our Mutual Friend’, by Charles Dickens. When a prison officer asked Desmond about the book, Desmond claimed that it was the only book by Charles Dickens that he hadn’t read, and that it would be the last book that he did read before he died. Much much later on in time, when Desmond found himself all alone in the Swan Station, he seriously contemplated suicide. He opened up the book, being the last book that he would ever read, and a photograph of Penny fell out from it with a note. The note was from Penny and told him not to despair, as well as reminding him that she would always wait for him and that she loved him. This, coupled with the fact that Locke had just started pounding on the Swan Station hatch door, gave Desmond some much needed hope. Later, the book was used to house the failsafe key, which would later be used to save the island, and perhaps the world, from certain catastrophe.
The Black and White Stones – When Jack happened upon a pair of decomposed corpses (“Adam and Eve”) in the caves, he also found a pair of stones, one black and the other white. The stones, for many, symbolize the balance between light and dark, good and evil, and also symbolize choices.
Jacob’s Chair – The implied leader of the ‘Others’ has been alluded to by Ben, Pickett, Karl, Tom, Mikhail and Bonnie. He is respected but feared by the Others. Often referred to as ‘He’ or ‘Him’, Ben describes Jacob as "a great man, a brilliant man, but not a forgiving man”. Pickett, Goodwin, Ben and Mikhail have also made reference to a "list" made by Jacob. In "The Man Behind the Curtain," Ben introduced Locke to Jacob. However, it appeared to Locke that Ben was merely arguing with an empty chair, leaving Locke to believe that Ben may be insane or bluffing. Just as Locke turned to leave, a deep and strange voice said, "Help me!". Locke shone his flashlight at Ben, and then everything went haywire. It was discussed that Jacob despises technology, and when the flashlight was turned on, a frightening and violent struggle broke out in the room. A table was set on fire, and then mysteriously put out in the same instant; a window was broken, Ben was flung against a wall and several items were hurled and destroyed in the disarray. For a brief moment, Locke was able to see Jacob sitting in the chair - "God loves you as He loved Jacob”

Congratulations to Charlie and Jack for their respective Guitar and Necklace just pipping Sawyers reading glass into the second round. Also well done to Locke's wheelchair with one of the biggest victory to date along with Michael Raft which held off a strong challenge from Naomi's Sat phone and Locke's Backgammon set. Yesterday also saw the largest numbers of votes, over 6400.
Today is the last match-ups of Round 1 and we'll be starting Round 2 tomorrow which will see a very strong line up of props/items.
Yesterday saw the closest battle so far with the Flight Manifest edging out Charlie and Claire's Peanut Butter by just 13 votes! The other 3 winners from yesterday were the Dharma Vaccine, and the Apollo Candy bar as well as the most surprising result so far, Shannon's Bikini! (pervs!)
Today we see another 12 items battle it out for 4 places in Round 2.
With the large amount of info coming to us regarding the Season 3 DVD, we will only be posting new DVD info, video and screencaps from now on in the DVD Section. We've added 2 new clips from the DVD there this morning.

My box finally arrived. I haven't watched everything but spent a few hours watching the bonus DVD. There are a bunch of easter eggs but not as much S2 had. A very cool one was a 4 minutes full wide version of the brainwash video Karl was forced to watch. Bizarre.
I also watched the first minutes of the 3x01 audio comentary with Damon and Elizabeth Mitchell. They recall there were two small scenes from the otherville opening that were cut. One showing Juliet talking to Amelia, the old lady; other showed Juliet checking out Ben´s x-ray (like the One of Us flashback). Damon made a joke regarding this one: it was cut so people could still complain he doesn't know where the show is heading to.
As some of you might know, both 2 parts of S2 finale on DVD had a small scene cut for unknow reasons. I'm pleased to inform S3 finale in untouched. Kinda. The first scene of part 2 was the "I love you" from Jack to Kate. This one was moved to part 1, right after the Mikhail/Ben talk about killing Bonnie and Greta. I assume part 1 was shorter than part 2, so they moved that scene to balance the length.
