Congratulations to Desmond! Many of us were caught off guard by this surprising upset! Despite a late-day surge in votes by Sawyer Nation, the bearded Scotsman managed to maintain the lead he had held for almost the entire 24 hours. The final vote differential? Desmond won by 154 votes. He now moves on to face John Locke in the Finals, which will be posted 24 hours from now. So, the long-held favorite will take on the victor of one of the most surprising matchups in the entire Cup.
But that's an entire day away.
Now we've come to the 3rd place matchup. Maybe it was the Hat's doing, and maybe it was the work of chance, but these two characters, rife with a competitive history, have come to face off against each other. I bid you use restraint in your comments and be kind to one another or I may just take away your commenting privilege. This was, after all, just for fun's sake. Now then...
Listen on! Listen on! This is the truth of it- fighting leads to killing, and killing leads to warring. And that was damn near the death of us all. Now when men get to fighting, it happens here. And it finishes here. Two men enter, one man leaves. And right now, I've got two men. Two men with a gut full of fear. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls...
