DarkUFO Character Cup- Round 1, Matchups 5 & 6 (**Closed**)

Congratulations to Jin and Jack, who both handily defeated their opponents. Despite a firestorm of negative comments, Dr. Jack trumped Richard Malkin, while Jin's victory over Nadia was silent but mighty. Both move on to the second round of the tournament.

Tonight's matchups will likely prove to be less volatile. We will see a long lost friend, a man whose parenting skills weren't so stellar, a mysterious man we've seen several times, and the first appearance by one of our Prelim Tourney winners.

After a tumultuous 24 hours, can't we all just get along? We'll find out after you cast your votes and provide some commentary :-)

Christian Shephard
Status: Flashback Character (Deceased)
Former Chief of Surgery at St. Sebastian’s Hospital in LA and father of Jack Shephard, Christian’s career was ruined by his alcoholism. After being stripped of his license, he fled to Australia, where he attempted to make contact with his illegitimate daughter, Claire Littleton. He was later found dead in an alley, apparently from a heart attack.

Steve Jenkins
Status: Lostie (Alive)
Steve is one of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. He assisted Michael in clearing debris after a cave-in trapped Jack inside and also helped look for Claire’s attacker after she woke up screaming in the night. He is also commonly confused with Scott, who is dead.

Boone Carlyle
Status: Lostie (Deceased)
Boone was the son of Sabrina Carlyle and step-brother of Shannon Rutherford. Before the crash he was the COO of one of his mother’s wedding planning subsidiaries. On the Island, Boone helped out with various chores and also helped Locke unearth the Hatch. Boone died from injuries he sustained when the beechcraft plane fell out of a tree with him inside.

Marvin Candle/Mark Wickmund
Status: DHARMA (Unknown)
In the Swan and Flame station Orientation films he claims to be Dr. Marvin Candle and has a prosthetic arm. In the Pearl Orientation film he says he is Dr. Mark Wickmund and his arm is intact. He seems to have been a member of the DHARMA Initiative, providing instructions to various projects and welcoming newcomers to the Island. He remains both mysterious and unaccounted for.
