Drake Sued by Playboy

Drake is being sued by Playboy Enterprises for sampling a track on his hit single “Best I Ever Had”. According to media reports, the lawsuit lists Drake, Cash Money Records and Universal Music Group as being sued on Copy Infringement.
Supposedly, the song sampled at the beginning of
“Best I Ever Had” is allegedly the same thing as the song “Fallin’ In Love,” by Hamilton, Joe Frank andDennison/Reynolds. The copyright for the music belongs to Playboy Music, Inc. and Plaintiff, Playboy Enterprises, is its successor in interest.
“Each Defendant either knew, or should have reasonably known, that the sound recording ['Fallin' in Love'] was protected by copyright. Each Defendant continues to infringe upon Plaintiff’s right in and to the copyrighted sound recording ,” court documents read.
Playboy Enterprises wants an injunction that would halt the sale and distribution of the song, which would effectively take Drake’s So Far Gone EP off the market, or at least cause the label to re-release it without the song.

Check out both songs and be the judge
