While there were a few items brought up regarding the last two episodes of the season, none of your questions involved characters that were at or near the top of their respective groups. This means that nothing potentially ground-breaking was pointed out and our results stand as previously posted.

So that does it for the third and final year of the Lost Fantasy League. It's been a lot of fun and a lot of work bringing this unique game to you all. I hope you all had fun with it. Over the next few weeks, I'll be tossing out some fun facts about the Season 6 LFL and some stats from the past three years via Twitter and the LFL Facebook group.

Wow, Lost fans! The series finale of Lost broke all the records! "The End" amassed a stunning 5,470 points. It was a two and a half hour long episode but there for the first time ever there were more points scored in a one episode than there are contestants in the Lost Fantasy League! What's more impressive is how many characters were involved and how drastically the leader board has changed. Be sure to read all the important point rulings!
It's been a long and wild ride but I am glad to say that the scores have been finalized. We are going to leave the results unofficial for a few days. Feel free to look through all the point tallies and rulings. If you see something that is wrong and might have an impact on which contestants make the Top 3, please let us know! Either leave a comment or shoot me an email. I'm pretty satisfied with the scores but we're going to let you have a peek at the work to see if I got it all right. For now, though, here are our current winners:
Once again, feel free to double check my work. I want to make sure that everything finishes up fair and square.
Please note: All past important point rulings are considered final. The only episodes you need to concern yourself with are "What They Died For" and "The End." Also, do not waste your time or mine by arguing against a ruling that you do not like. I am only concerned with point rulings that can be proven to be incorrect based on information already presented on the show. Conjecture and opinion do not matter; just the facts.
In a few of days, I will post any final point adjustments, a quick look back at three years of the Lost Fantasy League and, of course, our final winners.
1) The Flash-sideways events are actually Flashforwards. All season long we thought we were watching some kind of alternate timeline. In reality, the events depicted were happening in some kind of limbo state after everyone had died. Therefor, we were actually seeing extreme flashforwards. I went back through every episode and adjusted the scores as necessary. For these alt-flash episodes, what had been scored as Miscellaneous Flashbacks have been adjusted. They are now scored as Flashforwards. Everyone receiving points for Appearing in Someone Else's Misc. FB are not getting points for Appearing in Someone Else's FF.
2) Island Visions coupled with finally realizing the truth disqualifies characters from New Person, Place or Thing points later on. In limbo, people were waking up to the truth of their situation. Once they finally know what's happening, they retain their full memories from their lives. This means that they can't get any New P/P/T points unless they meet someone in limbo that they never met during their real lives (i.e. the final Church scene). This resulted in some deductions for a few characters like Desmond and Eloise. I lost the paper I wrote them all down on, so you're just going to have to trust me. ;-)
3) Things happening in Island Vision sequences count for points. Some scenes show the first time certain characters meet each other and there are kisses dished out in them as well. Anything happening in these Island Visions count for points. This is how it has always been but I just wanted to reiterate it here. There were a number of IV clips showing first encounters. I have tried to notate that in the scores where possible.
IMPORTANT POINT ADJUSTMENTS FOR EPISODE 6.07 "DR. LINUS"
1) Ben gets points for saying the title of an episode. During this episode, Ben said 'The End.' Since I wasn't giving points for instances of future episode (and the fact that I didn't know what the finale's title was at that point), I went back and adjusted his score.
IMPORTANT POINT ADJUSTMENTS FOR EPISODE 6.12 "EVERYBODY LOVES HUGO"
1) Pierre gets points for saying the title of an episode. Dr. Chang said 'The End' during his speech about Hurley. His score for the episode has been adjusted.
IMPORTANT POINT RULINGS FOR EPISODE 6.16 "WHAT THEY DIED FOR"
1) Jack's neck wound still doesn't count against him in limbo. It was a reoccurring thing but we decided it was not worth injury points. A haunting reminder of his past life, yes. An injury, no.
2) Charlotte does not get nickname points. Sawyer refers to her as 'That red-headed chick that hates me.' Since Charlotte did not appear in the episode, she is not eligible for the points.
3) Smokey gets nickname points. Sawyer refers to him as 'Your monster friend' to Jacob. Not the best of Sawyer's creations but enough for 5 points.
4) Kate also gets nickname points. While 'Little lady next door' is pretty weak as far as Sawyer's nicknaming prowess is concerned, we still gave Kate the points for it.
5) Claire gets New Place points for Jack's apartment. It's the first time we saw her there after Jack invited her over. It's still new enough for us to give her the points.
6) Jack stitching Kate up is not an injury. It probably hurt like heck but we've always held that medical procedures rarely count against someone.
7) MIB gets New Thing points for Widmore's outrigger. He seemed surprised to see it and it gave him a clue that something was up.
8) Ben gets New Person points for Rousseau. Despite having an Island Vision and beginning to realize what's going on in limbo, DarkUFO and I felt that he hadn't fully "woken up" yet.
9) Desmond DOES get points for meeting Ana Lucia. Despite being one of the first Losties to become enlightened in limbo, Des and Ana never met on or off the Island during their lives.
10) Hurley's Camero counts for Desmond, Kate, Sayid and Ana Lucia. It's a significant prop that's been around since Season 3. It counts.
11) The dress Desmond gives to Kate does not count as a New Thing. It makes her looks amazingly freakin' hot but that's not enough to make it worth points. :-p
12) Only Jack and Ben get centricity credit for the episode. We cut some slack for the finale but this episode wasn't multi-centric enough to spread the love all the way around. Ben and Jack both had at least two flash segments focused on them.
IMPORTANT POINT RULINGS FOR EPISODE 6.17 "THE END"
1) Charlie gets New Place points for the Motel. It's been used now and then in seasons past, so it is worth points.
2) Vincent licking Desmond does not count for Kiss Points. It was a tough call for DarkUFO and I to make but we just couldn't give the pooch the points.
3) MIB gets New Person points for Rose, Bernard and Vincent and vice versa. We know for sure that Rose and Bernard had not yet encountered MIB. Vincent was seen with Christian Shephard in the Lost: Missing Pieces series of mobisodes but I have not yet heard if this is a confirmed instance of MIB or not. Unless the producers say so, Vincent and Smokey get the points.
4) Centricity was awarded liberally for the finale. Many of the FF's were mixed in focus. We gave centricity points to the following characters: Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Ben, Sun, Jin, Sayid, Desmond, Locke and Claire. Everyone appearing in limbo was given credit each time they appeared in someone else's FF.
5) In Jin's Island Vision, we see him in Season 1 at some point after receiving a beating. This clip was well-removed from the actual beating, so Jin does not incur the injury deduction.
6) Daniel does NOT get New Points for Charlotte. Daniel stated to Desmond that he had seen her at the museum and fell in love with her. Charlotte does, however, get credit for meeting Daniel for the first time.
7) Ben only gets a minor injury from the tree falling. He was pinned down pretty good but we never saw any blood and it was clear that he did not suffer any broken bones.
8) Jack and MIB both lose points for giving and getting Major Injuries during their epic battle on the cliff.
9) Both Kate and Jack get deducted for having a hand in the death of MIB. Jack kicked him over the cliff to his death but Kate shot him through the chest in a very mortal-woundish looking way.
10) MIB is docked for killing Jack. Yes, Jack dies long after he gets stabbed but Jack expressed that the injury was a mortal one to Hurley. The fact that Jack does indeed die from the wound makes the deduction all the more justified.
11) Christian's coffin counts as a New Thing for Kate and Desmond. Des never saw it during his life and Kate was enlightened at this point.

WHAT THEY DIED FOR:
There was only one Fantasy Genius of the Week for the second-to-last episode. They racked up 615 points with an eclectic mix of characters. Congrats!

My deepest apologies to all of you Lost fans who have been waiting weeks for this post. Between my new job and a busy schedule, things have gotten awfully backed up. But fear not, the LFL will come to a close soon! Today I've posted the scores for "Across the Sea." We hope to lump "What They Died For" and "The End" together possibly by Friday or sometime next weekend. It will all depend on how difficult it is to score the finale and make all the necessary point adjustments.
"Across the Sea" wasn't really a game-changing episode. It didn't do much in the way of providing momentum for our Character Group leaders but it did shuffle some of our League Leaders a bit. Plus, we had a ridiculous number of Fantasy Geniuses of the Week, so check that section out to see if you are in it!
Overall, "Across the Sea" amassed only 605 points but I think we'll see the scores jump significantly over the last two episodes of the season. There were some point adjustments made this week, so be sure to check those out or you may be confused by your scores for the week.

Some of the following points adjustments were made based on information learned from "What They Died For."
POINT ADJUSTMENTS FOR EPISODE 6.04 "THE SUBSTITUTE"
1) Man In Black and Smokey lose one set of New Person points in exchange for two doses of Jacob Encounter points. Now that we definitively know that the mysterious jungle kid was Jacob, I went back and adjusted these scores.
2) Sawyer exchanges New Person points for Encounters Jacob points. Sawyer saw kid Jacob in the jungle during this episode and they had already met in the past.
3) Jacob picks up two doses of Encounters the Smoke Monster points. These were both in his kid form.
POINT ADJUSTMENTS FOR EPISODE 6.12 "EVERYBODY LOVES HUGO"
1) MIB and Smokey pick up an extra set of Encounters Jacob points. This was when we saw the jungle boy again.
2) Desmond snags New Person points and Encounters Jacob points. Desmond was with MIB when they saw the boy. So far, Jacob and Desmond have never met before.
3) Jacob picks up New Person points, Attendance points and Encounters the Smoke Monster points. All of this was while he was in his kid form.
IMPORTANT POINT RULINGS FOR EPISODE 6.15 "ACROSS THE SEA"
1) This episode is considered an on-Island flashback. There was no actual flashing but we decided to consider it such because it shows the history of Jacob and MIB on the Island.
2) The clips of Jack, Kate and Locke in the caves are not flashforwards. We decided that they were merely used to reiterate the fact that the bodies of MIB and "Mother" were found later on. These clips only scored points for what happened within them.
3) Ghost Claudia counts as an Island Vision. Since the Smoke Monster didn't exist yet, we're ruling that MIB seeing his birth mother is a true Island Vision.
4) For this episode only, the Smoke Monster and MIB are earning points separately. Until MIB became the Smoke Monster, only MIB gets points. Once the transformation occurs, they both earn points simultaneously. This is because the Smoke Monster has always been MIB but MIB has not always been the Smoke Monster.
5) Jacob is not charged with killing MIB. Their 'mother' said that they could not kill each other so we took this as fact. MIB's essence was transformed into the Smoke Monster and his body was discarded. Jacob still loses points for knocking MIB out before throwing him into the Light Cave.

Holy cow, Lost fans! The Fantasy League is cranking up the intensity! Our characters are jockeying for position like soccer moms looking for Silly Bandz! MIB and the Smoke Monster took a dive and that had a huge impact on our leader board. Are you doing better or worse today?
We're T-minus two hours to the next episode, so hang on tight you American viewers! While you wait for the next episode, you can check out all the content here. "The Candidate" wasn't the best episode for points but it definitely set up a lot of interesting scenarios within and outside of the Fantasy League. I'm just as curious as you are to see what happens next (though I'm still bitter about the Kwons).
There were only a few minor point adjustments made, so be sure to check them out in the Important Point Rulings section!
1) Sayid has the Death Deduction reinstated for Keamy. In 6.13, "The Last Recruit," Miles confirms that Keamy was killed by Sayid in a police report.
POINT ADJUSTMENTS FOR EPISODE 6.10 "THE PACKAGE":
1) Sayid has the Death Deduction reinstated for Keamy. In this episode, we hear and see the results of Sayid shooting up Keamy and his goons in the restaurant. We know after 6.13 that Keamy died from the gunshot wound.
IMPORTANT POINT RULINGS FOR 6.14 "THE CANDIDATE":
1) Jack and Locke get centricity points for the episode. The Alt Flashes focused on both characters as well as shifting to and from Jack and MIB in the form of Locke.
2) The bodies of Widmore's men by the Ajira plane do not count for New Person points. All of the characters present already received a catch-all set of points for encountering Widmore's people.
3) The Man In Black is held as responsible for the bomb detonating and loses points for causing [a] Sayid's death, [b] minor injuries to all other League Characters on board the sub, and [c] Sun's death. This was a very difficult decision for us to reach but it was MIB's intent for the bomb to go off and to cause harm to those on board. While he was not present for the detonation, he is responsible for it all the same.
4) Frank is listed as sustaining only a major injury. While Sun and Jin were given very definite deaths, Frank was left vague. If/when we learn that Frank did indeed die on the sub, we will go back and adjust the points.
5) Sayid's death is not ruled a suicide. Yes, he took the bomb away from everyone, knowing he would die, but the bomb was going to go off anyway, likely killing everyone in the room. Because it was impossible to avoid injury and/or death from the bomb's detonation, Sayid is not charged with suicide and only loses 30 points for dying.
6) Jin's death is ruled as a suicide. Despite the romantic notion of dying with the woman he loved, Jin chose to stay behind. He had ample opportunity to escape from the sinking sub but decided to stay. Therefore, he willingly let himself die, which results in him losing an additional 20 points for killing himself on top of the 30-point deduction for dying. We're not happy about making this decision but it is the right one to reach.

Our third and final double-points episode has come and gone but it has certainly left a major mark on the Lost Fantasy League! "The Last Recruit" would have been a very high scoring episode without the double-points factor but with it, it has become the highest-scoring episode in LFL history! How many points you ask? The outcome of this episode has led to some exciting races within our character groupings, so nothing is certain yet! We have ruled out a number of characters from contention, so check out the video above to see if we think any of your picks are out of the running for their groups. IMPORTANT: There were many point adjustments made this past week. These adjustments have had a large impact on a number of characters. These changes will make your weekly score look incorrect for this week. Please be sure to check out these changes in the 'Important Points Rulings' section.
1) Cindy gets several New Person points. Cindy's points are correct in the Alt timeline but she also met Hurley, Kate, Sayid and Miles for the first time at the Temple.
2) Kate gets 2 shots of New Person points. This episode was the first time that she encountered Cindy and the kids. Cindy was not the flight attendant who waited on Kate and Edward Mars in the pilot episode.
3) Hurley gets 2 shots of New Person points. This episode was the first time that he encountered Cindy and the kids.
4) Miles gets 2 shots of New Person points. This episode was the first time that he encountered Cindy and the kids.
POINT ADJUSTMENTS FOR EPISODE 6.06 "SUNDOWN":
1) Sayid gets New Person points. Sayid was dead the first time Cindy encountered him but in this episode, he encounters both Cindy and the kids.

1) Hurley and Desmond lose New Person points. They were mistakenly awarded New Person points for encountering each other in the restaurant. They had already been given points for their first meeting in "Happily Ever After."
2) Claire and Frank lose New Person points. Thanks to an astute follower of the Fantasy League for reminding me that Frank and Claire actually met back in the Season 4 episode "Something Nice Back Home."
IMPORTANT POINT RULINGS FOR EPISODE 6.13 "THE LAST RECRUIT":
1) Only Sawyer gets credit for the flashback at the police station. While Kate was there, the focus was on Sawyer. Kate only appeared in the FB.
2) The office building is a New Place for Claire but not for Jack, Desmond or Ilana. Ilana worked there, which made her ineligible for points. Jack and Desmond both knew Ilana and were familiar with the layout of the building, suggesting that both men had been there before. This made them ineligible for points.
3) Sayid and Miles do not get credit for encountering each other. Miles had come to the door but we did not know it was him on the other side until Sayid was heading for the back door. Also, Sayid and Miles did not appear on screen together.

Sorry for the delay in posting and thank you for your patience. I had another busy week and my pet chinchilla of 13 years died overnight Sunday into Monday. Needless to say, I've been a bit preoccupied lately.
But here is the Week 11 update! Hard to believe that we're already 2/3 of the way through the final season. Where does the time go? At first "Everybody Loves Hugo" didn't seem like a points bonanza but it definitely was! It is currently the 4th highest scoring episode this season and saw plenty of moving and shaking going on with our group standings. The leader board has not changed but the scores are all extremely close now! Our top 20 are separated by only 95 points! In fact, only 20 points separates 1st from 10th.
Which brings us to tonight's episode, which will be our third and final double-points episode! At such a clutch time, will the DPE twist our leader board once again? Only time will tell. There were two point adjustments for last week's episode, so check those out along with the rest of the content, including another written momentum tracker towards the end of the post.
POINT ADJUSTMENTS TO EPISODE 6.11 "HAPPILY EVER AFTER":
1) Charlie gets extra points via appearing in Desmond's Island Vision. In both of Desmond's visions, he saw Charlie in the flooded Looking Glass room. This gets Charlie points for visiting a DHARMA Location as well as going in the water. This yields an additional 20 points to Charlie for the episode.
POINT ADJUSTMENTS FOR EPISODE 6.12 "EVERYBODY LOVES HUGO":
1) Each explosion of dynamite results in minor injuries. Everyone is thrown back by the force of the explosion, causing them to fall over. We've been consistent with this sort of injury for a while now.
2) MIB's camp counts as a New Place for Hurley and those following him. None of them have been to his camp before. Even though it is a temporary camp, it is a significant place.
3) Libby gets points for visiting the Swan station. In the Island Vision, we see a clip from a past episode, where she is doing laundry with Hurley inside the Swan hatch.
4) Desmond is charged a major injury deduction for being thrown down the well. Once we find out the actual severity of his injuries, we can adjust this ruling accordingly.

GROUP 1
After a points-grab that stunned me, Hurley has moved into second place and is very much in the thick of it for Group 1. Sawyer is now barely clinging to the lead. Kate falls to third place and needs to pick up the pace to catch up. She's not in trouble but now has two people to contend against. Jack has to get on the ball. His hands-off approach has left him almost 200 points behind Sawyer. I think we're due for some Sawyer and Kate action though, after this past episode's focus on the Jack Pack. This double-points episode could break Jack for the rest of the season.
GROUP 2
Jin is still in first place for Group 2 despite a no-show this past week. Sayid is still in 2nd place but he's been doing some of MIB's dirty work, which could slow down his pursuit of Jin. Sun isn't in a hopeless position but she really needs to benefit from the double-points factor this week. If she doesn't, she will likely be unable to catch her husband or Sayid. Miles is in bad shape and I doubt that anything but this double-points episode being centric to him will be helpful.
GROUP 3
Richard isn't sitting quite so pretty after Desmond's awesome pickup this week. Des is only 250 points behind now. If he shows up in the Alt during our double-points episode like he did in "Everybody Loves Hugo," we will have a footrace on our hands. I'm going back on my word and reinserting Desmond into the equation for Group 3. Unless Locke becomes important in the Alt, Des or Richard will win this thing. Ilana's death is both frustrating and unfortunate. She had a chance but never really developed. Ah well, at least she did better than Bram. :-p
GROUP 4
Claire has been pretty successful at putting some distance between herself and Jacob but this double-points episode could be the great equalizer if she doesn't feature prominently and Jacob pops in for a few visits. Frank had a good surge and is still in the picture. Hard to say about Widmore though. Everyone below him is probably toast.
GROUP 5
This group is STILL way too close to call. I will probably be repeating this until after the finale.
GROUP 6
Smokey still hasn't moved much past Cindy. If she manages to show up, now that everyone is at MIB's camp, and Smokey gets violent, she could regain the lead. Sayid has been doing the dirty work though, so I suspect Smokey will be around enough to keep it in his favor. Only Ethan seems likely to challenge them at this point.
GROUP 7
Arzt is still looking good on top but Charlotte and Charlie are one episode away from overtaking him. Libby made some noise for herself and could be in a good position if she appears again. The same can't be said for Michael, whose return was underwhelming as far as points go. There are still enough episodes left that anything could happen though, so I can't put down the no-shows too much yet.
It's all over, Lost fans! While there were a few items brought up regarding the last two episodes of the season, none of your questions involved characters that were at or near the top of their respective groups. This means that nothing potentially ground-breaking was pointed out and our results stand as previously posted.
