D'banj, Don jazzy and the mo'hits crew organised a press conference to brief the public about their latest deal with Kanye West and their future plans for mo'hits.
According to them the negotiations for the deal started since November 2010 and was concluded on 8th June 2011 (which was Kanye's birthday)
and that Mo'Hits part of the deal is up to the sum of more and watch D'banj seal the deal with Kanye after the jump
$3, 000, 000 (three million dollars) which they have provided.
While fielding questions from all present, Mr Endowed D’Banj pledged not to relent in his support of the fight against piracy but went on to reiterate that he does not believe there is piracy as in his words “In Nigeria there is no piracy cos it’s the availability of the original that makes piracy thrive so without the original no piracy (laughs)”.
Meeting Kanye West......
He explained that he and Don Jazzy met Kanye West in November, 2010 at the Dubai International airport and played the remix to ‘Mr Endowed’ which featured fellow american rapper Snoop Dogg. Kanye who gave them 30 minutes to prove themselves was quite impressed with the music and asked them fly over to New York.
‘Now that we have bridged the gap, the likes of Wizkid, M.I and PSquare can make major move too. I would like to see 2face on Akon’s Konvict Records’, D’banj said.
He also told all gathered of the opening soon of another Koko Lounge on the island (Victoria Island, Lagos). While reacting to questions concerning the possibility of him signing on a female act to mo'hits, Don Jazzy revealed that he had considered signing the First Lady of MoHits from the next Koko Mansion season 2 .Don Jazzy also debunked the numerous track list circulating on the internet about Knaye West forth coming album and said he is not yet certain any of his works or D’Banj would be on Kanye West album.
