Some say that after Charlie Sheen there can be no more “Two and a Half Men”.
But the transition has already started....
CBS has already taken down the old logo poster on the outside of the studio and replaced it with a temporary poster without Sheen’s picture.
News has leaked about a possible plot transition being worked on by executive producer Chuck Lorre.

And now, new face in the game Ashton Kutcher has taken to twitter to tease us with a taste of the new theme song for the show.
Kutcher said via twitter,
“2.5 rehearsal on #SoundCloud”
Kutcher uploaded a small audio clip to his Sound Cloud account with the now infamous “Men” theme song opening line.
It’s not much, but it’s another step closer to the new season and another step farther away from Charlie Sheen.
We can’t wait to see the final product and the first show of the new season. Bring it!

Charlie Sheen’s Picture Removed from CBS Studio Lot – New Season Plot Update
Poor Uncle Charley.
It’s seems that CBS called his bluff.
And today they made it official.
After announcing that Ashton Kutcher will be joining the cast starting next season, CBS and Warner Brothers made the first move in changing the shows external look.
Maintenance workers removed the giant “Two and a Half Men” banner from the studios exterior and replaced it with a more generic banner.
We suspect as soon as CBS gets Ashton Kutcher cleaned up they will install a new banner showcasing the current cast including Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones.
And there is also a bit of news about the new seasons plot and how Sheen may be written out of the show.
TMZ says they talked with a production insider and the dirty deed may actually play off perfectly from the last show of last season.
This was the last episode Sheen filmed before going all tiger blood on us, where he had just purchased two tickets to Paris and was going to take Rose – and ask her to marry him.
Insiders say executive producer Chuck Lorre is planning to use the flight to Paris as the exit for Charley – and that it will NOT be a plane crash.
While subject to change, and it probably will, Uncle Charley just may decide to stay in Paris and say goodbye to Malibu.
There are still a few plot twists that need to be worked out like what happens to the beach house, and how does Rose get back to California while leaving Charley in France.
After all, the show will be better without Sheen but suck if Rose can’t still play in the sand box.

Ashton Kutcher and Charlie Sheen Tweet Each Other After “Men” Announcement. Is There Love Here?
Well, maybe not in person – but on Twitter.
The two actors exchanged tweets yesterday after news broke that Kutcher was named as Sheen’s replacement on “Two and a Half Men”.
But things started out a bit rough when Sheen initially told TMZ,
"Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer ... Oh wait, so am I. Enjoy the show America. Enjoy seeing a 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB. Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there".
If this was any indication of how Sheen planned to react publically, things could have gotten messy fast. But by Friday evening, things seemed to be turning into a love fest when Sheen tweeted,
“#Winning Congrats to the cast and crew…CBS & WB..! My best to @aplusk - The show must go on… You got the right guy! c.”
Kutcher was quick to follow with his own show of love and support with,
"#2.5 @charliesheen - Thanks man. Always been a fan, always will be! BTW you were 'born big'"
Just think - if Twitter can be used to bring these two soles together imagine what it could do for world peace. Ah Twitter, you offer us so many possibilities.

Jon Cryer Comments on Ashton Kutcher Joining “Two and a Half Men” – He’s Thrilled!
Cryer, who plays Alan Harper, released a press statement saying that he is thrilled that “Men” will be returning and commented,
“I’m jazzed about the news this morning that ‘Two and a Half Men’ is coming back! For all the rest of the cast and crew I’m sure they are equally excited”.
He even thanked his one-time cast mate Charlie Sheen saying,
“I want to express my enormous gratitude to Charlie Sheen for eight great seasons. I’m extremely proud of the work we’ve done together and I will miss him. But I’m also looking forward to this new beginning.”
He went on to say the he and Kutcher go way back together and even added a little levity with,
“Ashton is an extraordinarily talented guy and his presence will be an asset to our show. We are old friends from our male-modeling days and we’re both looking forward to being judged for our comedic artistry, as opposed to our exceptional physical beauty”.
CBS and Warner Bro’s announced today that after three months of discussion and reinvention they had hired Ashton Kutcher to replace the fired Charlie Sheen.
Sheen was fired in January for repeated alcohol and drug abuse issues. He is currently suing CBS and Warner Bro’s for $100 million.
Kutcher will NOT be playing the part of Charlie Harper but rather introduced as a new cast member to the existing family. He will pull in almost $900,000 per episode compared to Sheen’s $1.8 million.
Kutcher, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones will form the backbone of the cast while recurring characters like Berta, Rose, Judith Harper, Evelyn Harper and Herb Melnick will round out the cast.
No word yet on exactly how executive producer Chuck Lorre plans to write out Sheen’s character and bring in Kutcher’s, in fact we don’t even now the new characters name or his relationship to the family.
But if we know Chuck Lorre we suspect season 9 could be one of the funniest yet.
Go Chuck!

Ashton Kutcher and CBS Official News Release About Two and a Half Men Season 9
They’re probably even happier that Charlie Sheen is out of the picture.
Ashton Kutcher has agreed to a deal to replace troubled, and not winning, Charlie Sheen in the hit CBS sitcom “Two and a Half Men” working alongside Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones.
Kutcher is slated to pull in almost $900,000 per episode through season 9. Production will begin this summer and new episodes will be aired in the fall.
Kutcher says,
“I can’t wait to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo into the viewer’s home. I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people”.
For his part, Sheen has already thrown in his thoughts telling TMZ,
"Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer ... Oh wait, so am I. Enjoy the show America. Enjoy seeing a 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB. Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there".
Wow. Sheen sure seems to have a bitter chip on his shoulder regarding all the problems HE has caused all involved. It seems he has fallen out of the spotlight and is no longer winning – but loosing.
Chuck Lorre also chimed in with,
“We are so lucky to have someone as talented, joyful and just plain remarkable as Ashton Kutcher joining our family. Added to that is a deep sigh of relief knowing that our family stays together. If I was any happier, it’d be illegal”.
Lorre is the creator and Executive Producer of the show and was tasked with developing the plot to get Charlie out and a new face in.
Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment added,
"Ashton is a pop culture triple threat-film star, cutting-edge producer and a social media pioneer. He brings creativity, energy and personality to everything he touches. We are thrilled to have him, and excited beyond words for what he brings to the next season of Two and a half Men".
The last party in the triangle is Warner Brothers, whose President said,
"Ashton Kutcher brings a new and distinctive comedic flavor to “Two and a Half Men”. He is a big-time talent whose unique style will blend seamlessly with Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones and the rest of this terrific ensemble. We look forward to a great future for this revamped and reenergized show, helmed as always by the extraordinary Chuck Lorre, whose creative skills and consummate professionalism makes him the best in the business."
So there it is. The deal is done and all parties involved have stepped up to say their piece. The only thing left is to see how they update the story to sneak Kutcher into the plot in a believable way.
I really think if all involved can pull this off that season 9 may make us ask, “Why did they put up with Sheen for so long?”
Now if they can just get past Sheen’s $100 million lawsuit things will have come full circle.
Will you watch season 9? Was Kutcher a good choice? Are you over Charlie Sheen’s antics yet?
Do tell…

Ashton Kutcher Replacing Charlie Sheen on Revamped “Two and a Half Men” - $900k Per Episode
Multiple sources are reporting that Ashton Kutcher will replace Charlie Sheen on “Two and a Half Men”.
News broke early yesterday that Hugh Grant was also negotiating a deal but things fell apart at the last minute.
CBS, Warner Brothers, and Chuck Lorre have been franticly trying to revamp the popular sitcom before this months “upfronts” where they will have to announce their final strategy and plans.
Reports say that Kutcher will pull in about $900,000 per episode. CBS executive Les Moonves has already signed off on the deal and soon will announce that “Two and a Half Men” is coming back for Season 9.
We also know that Ashton will NOT be playing the role of Uncle Charley Harper, but rather a NEW character introduced into the show.
Charlie Sheen was fired in January for repeated drug, alcohol, and moral issues.

After news broke that Kutcher was the man he tweeted,
"What's the square root of 6.25?"
If you do the math the answer is, in fact, 2 1/2. Get it?
Insiders say creator Chuck Lorre has developed a clever story line to introduce Kutcher in a way that satisfies the network and studio.
Kutcher, who got his start on the popular “That ‘70s Show” with Topher Grace, has also stared on the big screen in My Boss's Daughter, Dude, Where’s My Car, The Butterfly Effect , What Happens in Vegas, No Strings Attached, and Valentine's Day.
Kutcher also executive produced and starred in the hit MTV hidden-camera series Punk’d.
Kutcher just wrapped filming New Year's Eve, a comedy directed by Gary Marshall that tells the story of the lives of several couples and singles in New York that intertwine over the course of New Year's Eve.
It’s going to be weird seeing Kutcher walking around on the set of “Two and a Half Men” but we’re willing to give him a chance. I’m already way past Charlie Sheen at this point.

John Cryer and Angus T. Jones to Star in New ‘Two and a Half Men’ without Charlie Sheen – Confirmed
Charlie Sheen was fired from his show “Two and a Half Men”, the remaining season was cancelled, and the future of the sitcom was unknown.
While there has been some speculation and many great ideas floated about, we didn’t really know anything solid – until now.
The Inquisitr is reporting that Chuck Lorre has confirmed to them that the remaining parts of the eighth season, and any new shows from that point on, will now focus on Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones character while a possible new character may be introduced.
It’s official – “Two and A Half Men” is BACK!
This was what we were hoping for all along. We knew there had to be a way to keep the show going, and Cryer and Jones are the perfect match to bridge any transition in plot.
One insider said,
“They already have the set, a group of actors with contracts, an audience, and a place to start a new plot. They would have been fools to not try and keep it going – even if it was for just one season to see how it goes. They could have a bigger hit on their hands now than they did with the old show and Sheen. Charlie thinks he’s indispensable – but he’s not.”
The deal most certainly looked attractive to both Cryer and Jones. Sheen was pulling in $1.8 million per episode, Cryer was earning $550k, and Angus (Jake) was making $350k per show.
With Sheen’s salary expense out of the way, producers can afford to spread that love around a little more to the remaining cast and crew – everybody wins.
Except Uncle Charlie.
While it is not clear what impact Sheen’s $100 million lawsuit against Chuck Lorre, CBS and Warner Brothers will have on the shows finances, some smart legal people tell us that Charlie will probably not prevail.
So let’s bring the show back with Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones as the new leads, and weave in larger roles for Herb Melnick (Ryan Stiles), Berta (Conchata Ferrell), Rose (Melanie Lynskey), and of course mother Evelyn (Holland Taylor).
That’s all we ever wanted. We don’t need Charlie Sheen anymore.
Go Chuck Lorre!

‘Two and a Half Men’ has 50/50 Chance of Returning Says CBS - Decision Soon.
With television sweeps starting next month (May), and up-fronts looming, CBS has to make a decision on what to do with season 9 of the once golden sitcom – and fast.
Ever since Charlie Sheen was fired from the show there has been speculation it might return for another season – with or without Uncle Charlie Harper.
Since his firing, Sheen has been on the road with his “Violent Torpedo of Truth” tour and has been telling his audiences that he desperately wants back on the show.
Not so fast says the show’s production staff.
One insider says that there is a 50/50 chance the show will return for another season. And if it does return – there will be changes.
Here is what we know for sure:
- Charlie Sheen is not welcome back on the show.
- Executive producer Chuck Lorre has a plot workaround to either replace Sheen or write him out of the series.
- No official offers have been made to any new actors.
- A decision has to be made before May 18, 2011.
- CBS really does want to try and salvage the show
Chuck Lorre has been telling the media that he has several ideas on how to continue the show – one that increases Jon Cryer’s role, and another puts Ryan Stile’s “Herb Melnick” character in a lead role.
We have also heard a couple unofficial “plot” ideas, sans Charlie Sheen, that all include using the existing actors, sets, writers, and facilities. Seems like a smart idea to us.
Our favorite has Rose downsizing and buying Charlie’s house after he gets thrown in jail in Bangkok. She then allows recently thrown to the curb Herb Melnick to move in with her, Allen, and Jake. Even Berta likes the idea and agrees to stay on.
One insider told reporters,
“The idea would be Rose buys the house and lets Alan, Herb, and Jake live there. We call it ‘Two and a Half Men – and Rose’. There have been lots of variations but it always comes back to the same fundamental movement of actors and their roles. It would be easy – and funny.”
It does sound like a nice clean, and believable, transition that could actually propel the sitcom into a whole new direction – both retaining the old fans and creating new ones.
We say bring us “Two and a Half Men & Rose”

Charlie Sheen Warned Not to Smoke on Stage in Toronto or Face Arrest and Fines
Earlier today he was chastised by the Warner Bros lawyers for talking about returning to “Two and a Half Men”, and now the Canadian Smoking Police have issued him a stern warning about smoking on stage during his show tonight.
Massey Hall and Toronto city regulations prohibit smoking cigarettes while on stage. Since Sheen is an “on stage” chain smoker this could be by far the hardest show he has ever done.
Ontario Health Promotion Minister Margarett Best said public health inspectors will be watching to make sure Sheen doesn't smoke on stage at Massey Hall during his “Violent Torpedo of Truth” show.
Sheen, one of the stars of the cancelled television show “Two and a Half Men” tweeted on Wednesday that he was looking forward to "winning" with Torontonians.
Good luck with that.

Charlie Sheen and Warner Bros Dispute Efforts to Revive ‘Two and a Half Men’ – WB Tells Charlie to ‘Shut Up’
Uncle Charley, Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros seem to be in disagreement over comments Sheen has made while out on the road on his “Violent Torpedo of Truth” live tour.
Sheen told the audience in Boston, and also a radio show, that he had been in talks with Warner Bros and everybody involved about returning to “Two and a Half Men”.
In fact, Sheen put the odds at about 85% that he would be returning.
But not so fast - Warner Bros seems to disagree. In fact, they think Sheen is lying.
Warner Bros not only disagrees, and says there have been NO talks, but their lawyers have fired off a letter to Charlie telling him to stop talking about the show and any discussion people may have had.
Warner Bros said in no uncertain terms,
"Those statements are false. As you know, there have been no discussions, there are no discussions and there will be no discussions, regarding his returning to or having any involvement with the series."
This kind of jives with everything we have heard – that there is absolutely NO chance that Sheen will ever return to the show.
There is also the small detail of the $100 Million lawsuit Sheen has filed against Warner Brothers. Awkward.
Sorry Charlie, looks like you better polish up that road show – you might be at it a while.

Video - Charlie Sheen on Bizarre Today Show Interview
Charlie Sheen made his first television appearance since all of his recent problems erupted, and it was the most bizarre thing we have ever seen.Sheen sat down with NBC’s Jeff Rossen on the Today Show and what followed was the most embarrassing thing Sheen has ever done. His handlers should have done whatever they had to do to keep him of the tube – but alas, Charlie will be Charlie.
Sheen talked about his show being cancelled, his drug use, his kids, violence against women, depression, and his war with CBS and the executives he claims are trying to destroy his family. It was an epic fail for Uncle Charley.
First off, Sheen looked like he has been rode hard and put away wet. He rambles on in a manic way that tells us that he is not 100% on his game even though he thinks he is.
The big shockers?
Sheen thinks Chuck Lorre and staff owe him a huge public apology and that they should be licking his feet. He feels he just wants to be this “amazing rock star” that he knows he is, and that people just need to accept his incredible worldly talent and crazy adult lifestyle.
On Alcoholics Anonymous he says it is a silly book written by a broken down fool who plagiarized.
Charlie also says he would only return to “Two and a Half Men” if he got a raise – because he believes he is just that good and thinks he is underpaid.
Sheen said he has never been drunk or high on the set but admits that several times he was hung-over.
He admits he’s tired of pretending he is not special, like a bitch’n rock star from Mars, and that people can’t process his greatness with their “normal brains.”
When asked if he was angry about what has happened he told Rossen,
"Well I'm not angry, I'm passionate. It's like everybody thinks I should be begging for my job back and I'm just gonna forewarn them that it's everybody else that's going to be begging me for their job back."
Rossen then asked Charley what he would say to Chuck Lorre if he was watching, and Sheen produced index cards with some very loaded, and strange, questions.
When asked how he will keep from slipping back to drugs and addictions he said,
“I just won’t do it. I will not believe that if I do something then I have to follow it with a certain path because it was written for normal people, people that aren’t special, that don’t have tiger blood and Adonis DNA.”
Wow. Really?

Charlie Sheen Fired – CBS Cancels Two and a Half Men
CBS and Executive Producer Chuck Lorre pulled the plug on the hit sitcom Two and a Half Men yesterday after Sheen went on several insane rants on the radio and in writing. It started when Sheen called in to the “Alex Jones Show” and slammed CBS, Lorre, and others around him. Sheen calls Lorre a “turd”, slammed Alcoholics Anonymous, and called Thomas Jefferson a pussy. You can listen to Charlie’s rant here.
But there was more. Charlie proceeded to trash everything in earshot and was frequently unintelligible – ranting about trolls, warriors, F-18 Fighters, and the mysterious Vatican Assassins.
Things did not stop there. After executive producer Chuck Lorre and the brass at CBS heard Sheens comments they immediately stepped in and cancelled Two and a Half Men for the rest of the season.
Charlie Sheen then produced an “open letter” that truly shows the depths of the actor’s problems. Charlie ranted in his letter:
What does this say about Haim Levine [Chuck Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows ... I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can't handle my power and can't handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words -- imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.
Remember these are my people ... not yours...we will continue on together...
Charlie Sheen
Wow. Charlie is done. He has been dropped from the upcoming “Major League 3” because CEO James Robinson says he cannot risk working with another Lindsay Lohan. Robinson should know – he tried to work with Lohan on Georgia Rules and knows what can happen.
Charlie, put down the crack pipe and hookers and get your life back on track. When the world starts comparing you to Lindsay Lohan you are only moments away from death or jail.
RIP Charlie Sheen, the world really liked you there for a while.

Charlie Sheen Back For More "Two And A Half Men"
Hollywood negotiations can get ugly. But yesterday CBS announced they had reached an agreement with Charlie Sheen to bring his hit sitcom back for two more seasons.Insiders say negotiations have been going on for weeks, with Sheen wanting two million dollars per episode of "Two and a half men," and CBS wanting, well, much less.
It appears the two parties have come to an agreement, though nobody seems to know for sure what the final amount was. Speculation was a deal would be reached at the last minute because Wednesday starts the networks "Up-fronts" and CBS had to have some kind of deal in place for its affiliates and big advertisers.
But some say Sheen told friends that he wanted out after seven years because he had grown tired of the daily work demands and production schedules, and said he wanted to focus on movies. Charlie is starring in the upcoming sequel "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps".
Now Uncle Charley can put these pesky television contracts behind him and focus on his felony wife beating case out of Colorado scheduled to start in June.

Charlie Sheen Enters Rehab
Just when you thought the Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller situation could not get any worse…. It just did.TMZ is reporting that Sheen did not show up on the set of "Two And A Half Men" yesterday, and that when he showed up for work on Tuesday the production staff was told Sheen was entering rehab.
This could just be a ploy to keep the courts on his side, as part of his probation is not to consume any alcohol or drugs. Uncle Charlies rep says the rehab is "for precautionary measures".
The issue is that if he drinks he may have his bail revoked sending him to jail. That would definitely put a crimp in his sitcoms taping.
We are not sure how the production schedule will need to be altered, but when contracts are signed they are usually for a certain number of shows by a certain date.
Sheen's wife, Brooke Mueller, was forced to leave a Malibu rehab center last week due to a leak of personal admissions information. Mueller's camp has said they are preparing a lawsuit against the facility and that Brooke has since checked into a more "secure" program.
Hollywood life sure seems complicated sometimes.

Bad Week For Charley Sheen - Stolen Cars And Federal Charges
Poor Uncle Charley. This has been a bad week for the "Two And A Half Men" star.
First, an Aspen Colorado court decided that Charley Sheen would, indeed, be charged for his Christmas day domestic violence charges against his wife Brooke Mueller.
Brooke told police the actor held her down while holding a knife to her throat, and a temporary restraining order was filed keeping Charlie away from Brook and their children. They are scheduled to appear Monday to ask for changes that would relax the order.
Sheen will also be charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor assault.
To add to the problems, Brook just spent a month recovering from a life threatening bout of pneumonia and spending a week in rehab.
Second - Charlie's stolen Mercedes SUV was found 400 feet down a cliff after being reported stolen about 5:00 in the morning. The car is totaled and cops were unable to find any trace of a suspect.
Third - Sheen's costar on "Two And A Half Men", Jon Cryer, received death threats at the studio causing an influx of FBI agents and a removal of the studio audience last month. Whew, who says the Hollywood life isn't exciting!
But there may be a glimmer of hope for old Charlie.
His blockbuster movie "Wall Street II - Money Never Sleeps" is scheduled for release in April 2010. The film reunites Sheen's character Bud Fox with original Gordon Gekko co-star Michael Douglas. The twist with this sequel will be the addition of Shia LaBeouf as Jacob Moore.
