8 Beautiful Messages From Oprah's Final Show

That out favourite talk show 'The Oprah Winfrey show' is a wrap isn't exactly news . However in the final show,Oprah used the final hour to deliver a message that was both powerful and inspiring. Here are eight notable Oprah quotes of inspiration on self-confidence, living life to the fullest, God,love,  being responsible for your own decisions, humility, and much more.

On Learning What Love Is
“I am truly amazed that I, who started out in rural Mississippi in 1954 when the vision for a black girl was limited to being either a maid or a teacher in a segregated school, could end up here. It is no coincidence that a
more after the jump
lonely little girl who felt not a lot of love, even though my parents and grandparents did the best they could, it is no coincidence that I grew up to feel the genuine kindness, affection, trust and validation from millions of you all over the world. From you whose names I will never know, I learned what love is. You and this show have been the great love of my life.”
On Being Worthy
“…We often block our own blessings because we don’t feel inherently good enough or smart enough or pretty enough or worthy enough. You’re worthy because you are born and because you are here. Your being here, your being alive makes worthiness your birthright. You alone are enough.”
On Embracing Life
Start embracing the life that is calling you and use your life to serve the world.”
On Being Responsibly for Your Life
“Nobody but you is responsible for your life. It doesn’t matter what your mama did; it doesn’t matter what your daddy didn’t do. You are responsible for your life. … You are responsible for the energy that you create for yourself, and you’re responsible for the energy that you bring to others.’Please take responsibility for the energy you bring into this space.’”
On Everyone Having a CallingWe are all called. Everybody has a calling, and your real job in life is to figure out what that is and get about the business of doing it. It lights you up and it lets you know that you are exactly where you’re supposed to be, doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing. I want for all of you [...] to live from the heart of yourself. You have to make a living; I understand that. But you also have to know what sparks the light in you so that you, in your own way, can illuminate the world.”
On Never Feeling Superior to AnyoneI learned from the guests on this show, no need to feel superior to anybody. Because whether it’s heroin addiction or gambling addiction or shopping addiction or food addiction, work addiction, the root is all the same. The show has taught me there is a common thread that runs through all of our pain and all of our suffering, and that is unworthiness. Not feeling worthy enough to own the life you were created for. Even people who believe they deserve to be happy and have nice things often don’t feel worthy once they have them.
On Listening to God“The only time I’ve ever made mistakes is when I didn’t listen. So what I know is, God is love and God is life, and your life is always speaking to you. First in whispers. … It’s subtle, those whispers. And if you don’t pay attention to the whispers, it gets louder and louder. What I’ve gleaned from this show: Whispers are always messages, and if you don’t hear the message, the message turns into a problem. And if you don’t handle the problem, the problem turns into a crisis. And if you don’t handle the crisis, disaster. Your life is speaking to you. What is it saying?”
On Being Rejected
“When we went national, I remember at the time, Roger King told me that one station manager said that he’d rather put a potato in a chair in his market than have a big black girl with a funny name. And in spite of that, from Memphis to Macon, from Pittsburgh to Pensacola, from New York to New Orleans, you all let me in.”

' They Have Bitten More Than They Can Chew'......Omotola To Online Gossip Site

Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade ekeinde has  reacted to a story published by an online entertainment site 'Nigeriafilms.com'. The said story claimed that the actress is having an affair with Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, CEO of Sifax. The actress is not letting things lie low as she has released a statement through her publicist.

Our attention has been drawn to one big fat lie published on the very notorious and credibility-deficient website, www.nigeriafilms.com about our client, Mrs. Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, a highly respectable Nollywood actress.

In the said damaging report that is being

more after the jump
examined by our lawyer, the website claimed Mrs. Ekeinde is having a sizzling and immoral relationship with Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, CEO of Sifax based on the fact that www.nigeriafilms.com sights her  regularly at the Apapa office of Dr. Afolabi.

ISSUES
It is a big fat lie that Mrs. Ekeinde frequents the office of Dr.
Afolabi, the major reason given for the said romance. She has NEVER
being to the said office at all.
Secondly, the Ekeindes and the Afolabis are family friends. Members of the families do exchange visits. Members of the Afolabi family do visit the Iba home of the Ekeindes often while the Ekeindes do the same. Captain Matthew Ekeinde and Dr. Afolabi are particularly fond of each other and do discuss at length when occasion permits. The last time Mrs. Ekeinde was at the Afolabi’s house was when she had a meeting with MRS. AFOLABI on participating in the highly publicized, Gaga4Fashion organized by the Afolabi’s children.
It is an open knowledge that the families of Ekeinde and Afolabi have a long standing relationship and Capt. Ekeinde is particularly close to Dr. Afolabi.

This report is a hatchet job by Nigeriafilms and we have detailed our legal team to start legal proceedings against the website that has notoriety for plagiarism and is known not to have a single reporter based in Nigeria, the major country it covers.

Nigeriafilms claimed it could not reach Omotola to confirm the story. Our firm, Bigsam Media and the website have a long standing relationship and open channel of communication; no representative of the website tried to contact us via phone or email. It is worrisome to note that a top executive of the website still spoke to our CEO on Monday concerning an advert deal we have with the website. No issue of Omotola was raised there or afterwards.

For Nigeriafilms, we are not surprised at this brazen disregard for ethics of the noble profession,  journalism and total disrespect for decency. The website has never been known for anything decent. It is a known fact that the website copy and pastes stories from other respectable websites without giving credit.

It is this same website that published a false story on an actor contracting HIV only for it to publish a rejoinder weeks after saying ‘sorry’ for the misinformation.

This same website published several apologies concerning a story on another top actress for alleging she was involved in lesbianism. The company’s former reporter left the organization due to the fact that the website only wants false and negative stories on Nigerian celebs.

We are not saying online journals should not do its job of reporting but we should endeavor to do our job within the line of decency and respect for the noble profession, journalism.

Nigeriafilms should learn from other respectable online journals that have been able to earn respect due to the professional way they conduct business.

This website thrives on the fact that it is not based in Nigeria so it has perceptual immunity to damage reputation and still escapes the arms of the law. This time around, we are ready for them. They have bitten more than they can chew.

Thanks for your understanding and please note that our lines are open for enquiries.

"All My Dreams And Hers Are Gone" ....... Father Of Slain Corper

"My daughter had promised me that after her NYSC, she would build a comfortable place for me to live in with members of my family here in Kwamba because where we are staying is no longer very comfortable.
“This girl I have hoped and prayed will become a very important person in the society to assist us since I had suffered to train her and her sisters through school with my little earnings as a motor mechanic. But now all my dreams and hers are gone all because these girls were trying to

earn a little more to assist us”.
These were the heart-rending words of Mr Julius Akande, a 65 year old auto mechanic. His daughter, Victoria Akande, a graduate of office technology and management form Federal Polytechnic Bida, was one of those who lost their lives in the Suleja INEC bomb blast which occurred few hours before  the house of representative  and senatorial elections yesterday.
Akande said he was lucky not to have lost three out of his four daughters as the eldest (late Victoria) offered to go to the INEC office to check their posting for the election while the others remained at home.

“It’s Expected of Men To Cheat”.......Tyrese

Please i need help on this one. Is he being sincere or just looking for an excuse for men that cheat?Read on.......
Tyrese stopped by Wendy Williams to promote his new book “How To Get Out Of Your Own Way” In the brief interview, Wendy asked him the burning question, “Why Do Men Cheat”. Tyrese responded:
“I don’t have all the answers, but I can say that most mothers raised their daughters to believe that if you cook, clean, thoroughly take care of your man and go all out for your man, that should keep him home. Unfortunately

more and watch the video after the jump
that’s not the truth, but I will say to my daughter when she gets old and starts dating is, if you end up being cheated on, don’t own the cheat. Don’t make the cheat yours. It’s something in that skirt and those legs and whatever the case may be, and [he] decided to dip off. Does he see the value in his woman at home? Yes, but if he ends up dipping off, that spaghetti couldn’t keep him at home.”
Wendy then asked him, “well, what if you get cheated on by your next wife. Does she get a pass?”.
“No way. See, it’s expected of men to cheat, even though all men don’t cheat. I can’t just generalize and say all men cheat, but it’s expected because it’s a part of our upbringing[...]no listen if your in high school or in college, if one dude has sex with ten different women he is a hero, he’s the champion of the campus. If one woman has sex with ten different guys, they’re all kind of things in the book right?[…]Its just a part of what instilled in us growing up.”

If Aaliyah Was Alive, She’d Be “Neck And Neck” With Beyoncé......Ginuwine

Guess years after her death, talented singer and hip hop icon Aaliyah is still being compared with new artists today. R & B singer and friend Ginuwine, says it’s nothing to shun. “Ain’t nothing wrong with that,” he says. “I think everyone should aspire to be someone great, and that was one of the greats. Aaliyah was one of the great ones.”
“Aaliyah was in a class by herself,” Ginuwine tells The BoomBox. “If you’re talking

triple threat of a writer, singer and actress, that would probably be Beyoncé. If Aaliyah were still here, she and Beyoncé would be neck and neck.”
